Last summer, their 20th Anniversary Ocean Avenue tour was one of the most anticipated tours of the summer. And we’re just as stoked to see them with Third Eye Blind and A R I Z O N A on the Summer Gods tour! Pre-sale is happening right now and general admission tickets go on sale Friday, January 12th. So mark your calendars! To help you get more hyped, here are 4 songs we hope to hear at the Summer Gods tour.
‘Honest from the Jump’
Look, we understand that Childhood Eyes was released in the midst of their Ocean Avenue tour and then they had nonstop festival performances, like Four Chord and When We Were Young Fest. But we’ll be honest. We just think that it’s finally her time to shine on the setlist. We’re ready to sing this one at the top of our lungs.
‘Be The Young’
Speaking of songs we need to sing at the top of our lungs, this is one of them. You already know how much we love closing tracks and this is rightfully one of them. If you didn’t know, singing “Where I was broken / I have healed / I learned to fight / I learned to feel / and I can’t believe my eyes.” at the top of your lungs is very much a healing experience.
‘Rivertown Blues’
There were so many bangers from this album and we’d be stoked to hear more of them this tour. But there’s just something about ‘Rivertown Blues.’ We could try to explain it, but at the end of the day, IYKYK.
‘Five Becomes Four’
This song goes so hard and we need to hear it live again. Why? We just have two words: circle pit. We definitely aren’t as young as we used to be, but we think with enough Ibuprofen, we’d manage. It’d be worth it because is it really a Yellowcard show if you don’t mosh, just a little?
