“There was actually a girl who went to Brown, where my brother goes to college, and we were all going around saying what our wish was for ourselves. She said, I want to write the next great American novel. It was the moment where I felt older than everyone because I laughed so hard. I was like, “You are so far down the wrong track!” Wish to write a novel. That would be a miracle. Don’t wish to write the next great American novel, that’s a nightmare! It made me feel I actually am a different place in my life than these people I was around. It totally inspired this whole song.”

‘Sweet Tooth’
Any time we see the word “sweet,” 🍬we immediately say “yes!” and click play. Just like us, Maya is a major sweet tooth, especially for the people she loves. Like the previous video, this video seems to be recorded on a camcorder giving us a vintage-esque feel. We love this style of videography that brings us back to the 70’s Maya we know and love!
‘Generous Heart’
Even though this song came out three years ago, it’s still one of our favorites! Maya looks so beautiful in this video, and we wish we could just frolic in the forest or go down icy cold waterfalls with her all day! Before even listening to this song, we knew Maya had a ‘Generous Heart,’ 🫀 and we didn’t need a song to confirm her kindness!
