CHOICE, how are we feeling? A.C.E are finally back with the mini-album My Girl: “My Choice,” and we’re celebrating! The wait was long but very worth it. To ease it a bit on us, the guys made sure we got a little taste of their new music with not one, but two pre-release tracks! We loved both ‘Effortless‘ and ‘Angel,’ and now, we have more to add to our playlists.
While this is not a comeback by A.C.E as a full group, we are still very happy with the release. And, even more good news: we recently got member Yuchan back after completing his military service, so we are already counting down to their next comeback as five. Until then, we’ll be giving a lot of love to My Girl: “My Choice,” and their older releases.
Hooked On ‘My Girl’
The title track ‘My Girl’ gives us a sweet melody to sway to, four lovely vocals to swoon over, and a fun music video to enjoy. And just like with their two pre-release singles, ‘My Girl’ comes with a Korean and English version—double the joy!
We aspire for this album to be musically soothing to listen to. We also wish for it to resonate with many, providing comfort and support through our work.
A.C.E’s Park Junhee
We would say they succeeded with their goal for this comeback. Not only is their music soothing, but ‘My Girl’ is quite relatable, especially with the story in its video. The humorous way of portraying the office work life and the struggles that come with it just screams A.C.E, especially with the ultimate freedom as the story progressed.
I believe this album portrays the journey of modern individuals rediscovering their lost selves and embodies their emotions.

And how to make a long-awaited comeback even more special? Add your fans as backup dancers and actors in the title track’s grand ending scene. Yes, the group really did that and it’s so exciting seeing the result. Quite the special bond between artists and fans, right?
To return to the topic of soothing songs by A.C.E, we couldn’t help but think back to some of their older tracks. So, we thought what better way to celebrate the release of My Girl: “My Choice” than by commemorating some oldies but goldies?
Always ‘Stand By You’
Starting this off with ‘Stand By You,’ a very meaningful track (like a lot of A.C.E songs.) It carries the gentle lyrics of hope and just like its title, it holds a comforting touch that we feel every time we listen to the song, or watch its sweet yet emotional music video.
Found Our ‘Clover’
We wouldn’t miss adding ‘Clover’ to this list. The lovely vocals and the message this fan song carries truly makes it a gift. If A.C.E created this to appreciate CHOICE, we are appreciating them as individuals, artists, and a group.
‘Changer’
Ok, hear us out: we have a few reasons for picking ‘Changer’ specifically. This song was the last title before our favorite OT5 started enlisting. So, it was natural for us to think of it when the guys were finally reunited. Not to mention the video full of fun and smile-inducing moments! Who wouldn’t feel moved while watching this?
