If you’ve been on social media at all recently, there’s a good chance you’ve already had Artemas’ ‘i like the way you kiss me’ stuck in your head! It’s an alt-pop bop about an ambiguous relationship that’s largely physical, and the new music video, set at a house party, captures the glimmering adrenaline of the song so well. It simultaneously feels like a throwback to party scenes in 2000s movies while also feeling very refreshing and modern – it’s like how the song itself offers ‘80s synth vibes and futuristic energy at the same time. It matches his music so well and we wish we could step into our screens!
Artemas has been delivering nothing but “hits, hits, hits, hits” since he debuted with ‘High 4 U’ in 2020, and we’re so glad to see he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves! Back in February, he released his 13-track pretty mixtape, which has been a staple on our playlists ever since. It’s a must-listen if you’re looking for a new innovative pop artist to stan! Our main recs would be ‘shall we celebrate?,’ ‘cross my heart,’ ‘please don’t humble me,’ and ‘breath away,’ but definitely check out the full project if you like those.
