RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 has been one of the most iconic in Drag Race herstory. There’s less than a week until a queen is crowned and the race has never been so close. So let’s recap our top 3 moments for the final 3 queens: Nymphia Wind, Plane Jane, and Sapphira Cristál.
Nymphia Wind
Queen Choice Awards
Even though she didn’t win this challenge, she won our hearts. Her performance was absolutely sickening. We were mesmerized the entire time, and we love how she paid homage to her Taiwanese culture.
The Mother of All Balls
This season was full of talented designers. One of them being Nymphia! In the werkroom, she was stressing but absolutely turnt it out in the end. We’re obsessed with the lewk and how she made the ties look like they’re blowing in the wind.
Booked & Blessed
From the moment she entered the werkroom, Nymphia made it known that she is the banana queen. But with this challenge, we got to see a whole new side of her. She was vulnerable for the first time in the competition and we love her for that.

Plane Jane
Queen Choice Awards
We weren’t sure what to expect from Plane Jane made it clear that this is not RuPaul’s Best Friend Race, moments after entering the werkroom. But she understood the assignment. She gave us comedy and talent, all while making a brand for herself, and winning the challenge.
Snatch Game
Plane introduced us to Serbian pop superstar, Jelena Karleuša. If you’ve watched past seasons of Drag Race, you know that it’s a risky move to impersonate popstars. But Plane’s Jelena checked all the boxes for a successful Snatch Game and ended up snatching the win.
Drag Race Vegas LIVE! Makeovers
Drag Family Resemblance is another daunting challenge of the season. Most queens try to give their drag makeover partner a similar name. But Plane really went, “Nope. Lazy Susan.” They ended up slaying the runway serving honeybee realness!

Sapphira Cristál
Rate-A-Queen
Sapphira truly cemented her place in this competition with her talent show performance. Her operatic voice most likely could’ve been enough to secure a win. But then she delivered comedy with the song lyrics, and incorporated a perfectly executed split.
Snatch Game
She may not have won, but it was still iconic. Expectations were set high, considering James Brown is one of Ru’s all-time favorites. But as with most challenges, Sapphira blew us away with her comedy combined with her amazing vocals.
Werq the World
Her performance, vocals, and lyrics were all on point. “I got the freedom to love, with so much love for you.” This was her second win, but the first win of 3 consecutive wins, (which is a first in a US non-All Stars season) proving she truly has the power!
