Thanks to Louis Tomlinson’s LIVE, we get to relive some of our best memories of the last few years. Those of course being the memories of Louis’s two world tours. Faith In The Future may have come out a year and a half ago, but honestly, we’re nowhere near ready to let it go. So we feel the need to spend the next few hundred words remembering all the best memories as we listen to the live versions of our favorite songs.
Faith In The Future Setlist
Mentally, we’re still dressed in our rockstar red and black, waiting for Louis to grace the stage. As most of the songs on the LIVE album are from the Faith In The Future setlist. Not all, though. LIVE features fourteen songs recorded in different cities. So if you saw Louis on either of his world tours, check the track list. You may have a professionally recorded song from your very own city.
Is this a perfect setlist, or is this a perfect setlist? All of our favorite songs from Faith In The Future and some old favorites from Walls. We could go on for hours just about all the incredible parts of Louis’s collection that upon hearing the studio version, didn’t believe could get any better, and were proven wrong. The ‘Holding On To Heartache’ bridge? The ‘Saturdays’ bridge? We apologize if this is just us ranting about Louis’s music. But we can’t help ourselves.
As original fans of Louis (with a blue bandana from the Where We Are tour to prove it), screaming ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’ in the year 2023 wasn’t something we were prepared for. But it was something we needed. And speaking of songs that were blessings on this tour, the updated version of ‘Back To You’ shook us all. We may have lost waving our rainbow flags to ‘Only The Brave,’ but we won with this. Still, Louis was not about to let us forget about ‘Only The Brave.’ If you buy the CD, a recording of ‘Only The Brave’ from 2022 will bless your ears. And ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’ is available only on vinyl. What we’re saying is you need to get out there and buy every version of this album.
Faith In The Future Tour
Now that we’ve said enough about the setlist, we have to take a moment to remember the rest of the tour. Do we all remember when the crowd exploded when Louis emerged from backstage wearing – get this – a tank top? And do we all still have the red confetti or streamers that shot out at the end? Were we all scrambling to take home just one piece?
We need to go back to talk about songs because we just can’t leave anything out. As if Faith In The Future wasn’t enough, Louis wasn’t about to leave us without a few bonus tracks. He released ‘High In California’ and ‘Change’ right before tour started and then we all got to celebrate the release together. ‘High In California’ was an important part of the setlist, and guess what? You can only hear the live version on vinyl. All the more reason to buy it now!
Louis Tomlinson tours are so special because they really do feel like hanging out with family. Shout out to Louis for making it feel that way and another shout out for letting us relive it with LIVE! Somehow he sounds even more angelic this way.
