Hungry for some refreshing new music to add to your Hot Girl Summer playlist? It’s time to take a bite of f5ve (pronounced “fi-vee”), who will undoubtedly be the next big thing in J-Pop! They’re executive produced by the one and only BloodPop®, who’s known for his work with artists like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, so you know they have some hits up their sleeves. SAYAKA, KAEDE, MIYUU, RURI, and RUI are already off to a splashy start with their debut single, ‘Lettuce!’
Described by Rui as “fantastical and addictive,” ‘Lettuce’ is all about knowing your worth and refusing to accept less than you deserve in a relationship. We love that energy and f5ve’s confidence! One of the group’s main goals is to help fans feel more empowered, which they’re definitely doing already. Seriously, it’s impossible to sing along and not feel powerful.
The sound is enchanting and addictive. I love how the lyrics playfully navigate romantic games, which we express with a relaxed vibe in our performance.

‘Lettuce’ also comes with a stunning music video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, that shows the members in various sets that channel the lettuce theme. From a restaurant kitchen to a stage in the middle of the garden, we’re obsessed with the glam styling and creativity that f5ve show off. They’re really creating a whole, dynamic world you can get lost in! As if that wasn’t enough of a reason to love them, they donated any leftover lettuce that they could to the Bunnyluv rescue after the video shoot.
“I know you’re only getting started…”
We’re so excited to see what f5ve have to offer in the future. You may already know them from their previous formation, SG5, which they released ‘Firetruck’ under last year. You might even recognize Ruri from her time in Happiness or E-Girls, or Rui from iScream! Still, f5ve is so different from what they’ve done before and we’re in love. This is a group you need to keep an eye on, for sure!
