Fletcher played at the Eventim Apollo in London two nights in a row, SOLD OUT might we add. That’s a legendary move if we do say so ourselves.
The crowd was screaming before she even came on stage. With pre-show visuals, she managed to hype everyone up the perfect amount. By the time she was out on stage, the crowd was deafening.
Opening with ‘Maybe I Am’, Fletcher built tension by starting at the back of the stage. Working her way forward, closer to the eager fans waiting in their hundreds. Followed closely by ‘Sting’ and ‘Serial Heartbreaker,’ where she found herself at the front of the stage, pumping up the energy and getting every single person in that venue moving.
We were lucky enough to be in attendance of such beauty, such grace. With the inside scoop of what happened and some fun pictures, we’re not trying to give you FOMO, but it also might be expected. Fletcher single handedly saved London with her very own Antidote.
Everything from the lighting to Fletcher’s stage presence was… a little bit seductive. Although she thanked her parents for being in attendance. She did also warn them to close their eyes and ears for the majority of her show.
‘Joyride’ was a treat to our ears, stripping the show back for just a few minutes to perform an acoustic number. Fletcher got us all in our feels, a few tears were shed, and a lot of hugs were shared.
She even had to deal with her microphone switching off halfway through the gig. Whilst performing ‘Crush’, she styled it out flawlessly and in her own words, “at least you know the mic is on”. We cannot fault her for not only how she handled it, but how she managed to play it off and make us all aware that when she sings, she really does sing.
