There are few things we at THP love more than finding amazing new music, but one of those things is sharing it with you! The more fans, the merrier, right? So we’re bringing you the Hot In The Hive series, dedicated to sharing new music we know you’ll be buzzing about as much as we are. Let’s dive right into some of the sweetest new releases!
BoyWithUke – ‘Can You Feel It?’
Seven months after releasing his Lucid Dreams album and revealing his identity, BoyWithUke is taking off the mask yet again with ‘Can You Feel It?’ and we feel absolutely mesmerized! It feels like a natural next step in his artistic evolution, turning away from his signature ukulele pop style and taking us to a darker alt-rock paradise. The song touches on mental health and the ups and downs of growing up, topics in which anyone can find someone to relate to. ‘Can You Feel It?’ shows off BoyWithUke’s gift for atmospheric storytelling and somehow singing exactly what you need to hear on your own lonely nights.
‘Can You Feel It?’ was a lot of fun to create, but one of the most difficult. The song is about change and how it can be a good thing. I feel like the lack of song structure is what makes it special to me.

Diva Bleach – ‘Hate Me’
Especially in the age of social media, it’s so easy to get too caught up in who likes you, what you should be doing with your life, and whether you fit in with your peers. But it’s more important than ever to stay true to who you really are, and it’s fine if someone doesn’t like that! That’s what Diva Bleach’s addictive ‘Hate Me’ is all about, encouraging you to stand strong in your personality without worrying about what others say. It’s electrifying and restorative, and we have faith that one day, some scientists somewhere will be able to bring us evidence that this song can nip your people-pleasing tendencies right in the bud. Diva Bleach are the revitalizing pop-rock band we’ve all been waiting for!
‘Hate Me’ is about being unapologetically yourself despite what anyone else might think.

Gabriela Bee & Powfu – ‘Blue’
We always love a good collab, especially with two of our fave underrated artists! And they get some extra bonus points if one has “Bee” in their name, so you can imagine how excited we are to hear Gabriela Bee team up with Powfu on ‘Blue.’ It’s an ethereal celebration of love in all its forms, ready to soundtrack your summer memories with friends or your partner. Gabriela’s vocal runs are absolutely heavenly, and Powfu adds such an amazing contrast with his more raspy voice! They make such an awe-inspiring pairing, and we’d love to hear a joint EP in the future, but until then, we’ll be listening to ‘Blue’ on repeat.
‘Blue’ is about the person in your life that brings you the most comfort and peace. They listen to you when you aren’t heard by others. They are like your safe person. That’s your blue. One morning I woke up to a TikTok that one of my friends had sent me. It said “send this to your blue – someone you can always count on, a person that brings out the real you.” I was really touched that he had sent me that, and I wanted to write a song about it. ‘BLUE’ is a love song, but about a different kind of love. One that can be found in all kinds of ways and people. Romantic or platonic.

PHIA – ‘French Riviera’
If you’re a K-Pop fan, you’ve already fallen for PHIA with her credits on songs like IVE’s ‘Love Dive’ (yes, she sang that viral ‘Love Bites’ demo!), TXT’s ‘Miracle,’ and aespa’s ‘Live My Life.’ Now, get ready to fall head over heels for her original music with the beautiful ‘French Riviera!’ This breezy love song is the perfect addition to your summer playlist, sweeping you away to the coast of France for a relaxing yet thrilling getaway full of romance. Rumor has it that the “You feel like the sun” lyric is actually about PHIA’s gorgeous voice… okay, fine, we’re starting that rumor ourselves. But listen to the song and tell us we’re wrong: you can’t! We hope to see PHIA become one of the breakout popstars of 2024!
I wrote this song about the beginning of a relationship. We were in the ‘honeymoon’ phase and I wanted to capture the romantic, warm feeling I felt even sitting in a small flat in London. It really felt like we were in the most beautiful place in the world and what’s more romantic than the French Riviera?

robbietheused – ‘Just A Little Bit’
If you already know Bert McCracken as the frontman of The Used or from his features with artists like blackbear and My Chemical Romance, get ready for a reintroduction! Bert is stepping into a whole new era as robbietheused, and we’re more than ‘Just A Little Bit’ obsessed with his solo debut. From the moment you press play on ‘Just A Little Bit,’ you’ll step into a kaleidoscopic world of strength and cautious optimism. robbietheused will instantly become your new favorite alt-pop star, encouraging you to stay hopeful through tough times and take the leap of faith to fall in love with feeling alive again.
I wanted a nice 40th birthday present for myself, so I decided to make a pop record. I’ve always tried to push for the poppy stuff for The Used records, and the band really likes to keep it heavy. So this is my way of getting all those pop songs that maybe wouldn’t make a Used record out into the world.
