When we heard the news that Orville Peck is dropping a new album, we were so excited. But, when we heard that album was an exclusive duets album, we almost fainted. The new album, Stampede, will be available for streaming everywhere on August 2, 2024 and will be an extension of Stampede Vol. 1. It’ll be jam-packed with hits from Orville plus your other favorite artists!
Want to know exactly whose voices you’ll be hearing on Stampede? Read on…
Willie Nelson
You can’t make an iconic country album without featuring Willie Nelson. The country icon will be featured on the first track of the album, ‘Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond Of Each Other.’ We’re also fond of cowboys, too.
Willie was also recently featured on Beyonce’s COWBOY CARTER, which we are still bumpin’, by the way.
Midland
Haven’t heard of them? Midland is a country music group that was recently nominated for two GRAMMYs. They’ve got the looks, the guitars, the cowboy hats – what more could we ask for? Midland will be featured on ‘The Hurtin’ Kind,’ the second track of Orville’s album.
Elton John
This feature certainly came as a surprise for us! We were expecting Orville to pick exclusively country or bluegrass artists, but we can never say no to a short serenade from the musical mastermind himself, Elton John. The singer will be featured on the third track, ‘Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting).’
Debii Dawson
You probably know Debii’s name from America’s Got Talent or just her beautiful voice. Luckily for us, she’ll also be heading out on tour with Orville. We are so excited to see her perform live! Debii will be featured on the album’s fourth track, ‘Back At Your Door.’
Allison Russell
Allison Russell is a Canadian singer-songwriter with powerhouse vocals and stage presence. She recently won her very first GRAMMY (!!!) and sang ‘Work Song’ live onstage with Hozier. Goals, are we right?! We were so excited to see her name on the tracklist for track number five, ‘Chemical Sunset.’
Beck
The grooviest man making music right now is Beck. He’ll be featured on the album’s sixth track, ‘Death Valley High,’ and we are so excited to see how Orville and Beck’s sound blend.
Noah Cyrus
You know her, you love her, it’s Noah Cyrus. We’re always in a Noah Cyrus phase, so when we saw her name as the feature for the seventh track, ‘How Far Will We Take It?,’ we got so giddy. Everyone knows that Orville and Noah are besties, but what they don’t know is that THP is about to crash that friend group! How do we get in?
Listen to ‘How Far Will We Take It?’ now.
Bu Cuaron
Don’t know Bu? She’s probably the most gorgeous person you’ve ever seen, oh, and also makes amazing music! Bu recently graced the cover of Elle Magazine and we more than recommend our honeybees becoming new fans! She’ll be the feature on the album’s eighth track, ‘Miénteme.’
Listen to ‘Miénteme’ now.
Molly Tuttle
So many new names! We always love it when our faves choose smaller artists to collaborate with. It always makes the listening process so much more enjoyable, plus we get to find new artists to obsess over! Molly Tuttle recently won a GRAMMY for her album, City of Gold, and will be heading out on her own tour, Down The Rabbit Hole Tour, this summer! She will be featured on the ninth track, ‘Papa Was a Rodeo.’
Kylie Minogue and Diplo
Orville and Diplo was another pleasant surprise on the list! Kylie and Diplo always make the best music, full of surprises that are more than satisfying to the ear. Their song ‘Midnight Ride’ takes us on quite the musical journey, but we won’t spoil anything for you. Check out the lyric video and listen to this song now before Stampede drops.
Teddy Swims
Yes, we are freaking out. August 2 can’t come fast enough! Teddy will be featured on the album’s eleventh track, ‘Ever You’re Gone.’ We hope it’s not a sad ballad or else we will be spending all of August crying our eyes out.
Margo Price
Another country queen, Margo Price, will be featured on the album’s twelfth track, ‘You’re An A*shole, I Can’t Stand You (and I Want a Divorce).’ Margo is known for making psychedelic country music, so we are certainly eager to see her and Orville’s interpretation of the lyrics.
Mickey Guyton
Mickey recently performed at CMA Fest and rocked that stage! We just know she’s gonna take over Orville’s album on the thirteenth song, ‘Where Are We Now?’
Love her vibe? She’s headed out on her own tour soon, so make sure you get tickets!
Nathaniel Rateliff
Nathaniel Rateliff has the heart and the talent to make us honeybees fall right in love! He’s featured on the second to last song, ‘Conquer The Heart.’ Nathaniel certainly conquers our hearts every day!
You can listen to ‘Conquer The Heart’ now.
TJ Osborne, Waylon Payne, and Fancy Hagood
We always love it when there is more than one feature in one song! It’s like a feast for our ears. All three of these artists identify as queer country musicians, and we love that we can support them by listening to Orville’s music! Their song will be last on the album and it’s titled ‘Rhinestone Cowboy.’ Now, that’s a song we need to listen to right away! Does this mean we can show up to Orville’s shows with sparkly cowboy hats?
Eager to attend the rodeo and hear these songs live? Don’t sweat it, honeybee! Orville is headed out on tour and you can secure your ticket now!
