THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Jade has officially announced her debut solo single, and we are so hyped! Ever since Little Mix took their final bow back in 2022, the girls have been working hard in studios to perfect their solo debuts. Leigh-Anne took the lead, followed soon after by Perrie, and now it’s time. Miss Thirlwall, please step forward!

Finally, no more “soon.” No more teasing. Jade took to social media after promoting herself creatively, like The Jade Room – a parody of The Shade Room – and an AI Jade texting bot to drop hints and teasers about her highly anticipated solo debut. She dropped a snippet across her socials of what will be her first single, ‘Angel Of My Dreams,’ accompanied by a dreamy video. We are so hyped about our queen finally stepping out to bless us with her solo music! Here’s everything we know so far…

She’s Going To Be The Next Pop Queen

“What I’m going for is a pop punch to the face. I want people to be like ‘oh my god, I didn’t expect that’ – but then want to listen to it again,” Jade shared in a press release. “I didn’t want to do a safe first single, that was really important to me. I’m setting the tone of who I am as an artist on my own. I want people to hear it and be like ‘what the f*ck is that song?’. My worst nightmare is for someone to hear my song and go ‘that’s nice.’” Honestly, we are so ready to be groped and gagged! Described as a “banger that explores her love/hate relationship with a pop industry she’s been at the heart of since her former band Little Mix launched in 2011,” it’s been said that her single is to be OTT and WTF, and we truly expect nothing less from this legend.

She’s Dropping Her Surname

Like her Little Mix sisters, Jade has chosen to ditch her surname when it comes to releasing solo music. Rumors sparked in 2022 that she’d be having a mini brand revamp and following in the footsteps of pop queens before her, such as Cher, Beyoncé, Adele, Rihanna, and many more. Let’s be honest: we all know who we’re talking about when we say “Jade.” It’s just common sense, hun!

She’s Been Working With Some Icons

Jade co-wrote ‘Angel of My Dreams’ as her solo debut alongside Steph Jones (Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’), Pablo Bowman (Calvin Harris’ ‘Miracle’), and producer Mike Sabbath (RAYE), all responsible for absolute bops in pop. Fans know all too well how much of a wait they’ve had for Jade’s solo debut, but it’s clearly been worth it as she curated a carefully chosen path that led her to her promising solo statement. Over several studio sessions, Jade has collaborated with the likes of MNEK, Cirkut, Lostboy, RAYE, Lauren Aquilina, Dave Hamelin, Mike, Steph, and Pablo. We just know her music is going to be *chef’s kiss.*
