Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie are part of the biggest girl group on the planet and have spent the majority of the past decade dropping certified bops and truly capturing our hearts. We cannot get enough of them! But if you’re unsure whether you should become a fan (or just want a reminder why you already are one), here are 5 reasons why you should stan Little Mix.
1. They are super relatable
Little Mix may be global superstars but that doesn’t stop them from being like the girls next door. You’ll often hear them talking about shopping in Primark and acting like total goofballs and it’s a major attraction point for us! No divas, just darlings here.
2. They are all about girl power
Have a listen to their bangers like ‘Power,’ ‘Salute,’ ‘Down & Dirty,’ ‘Strip,’ ‘Wasabi,’ literally there’s so many songs that radiate the energy of “anything boys can do, girls can do too” which is massively important. Little Mix are such an inspiration to so many, especially young girls and are constantly reminding people of their self-worth. How can you not stan?
3. They are major LGBTQIA+ allies
The girls know they have a huge queer following and don’t take it lightly. They are forever proving they are amazing allies, often working with LGBTQIA+ charities or performing at pride. They wrote ‘Secret Love Song Pt II’ dedicated to their queer fans and even had the pride flag up in countries where same-sex relationships are frowned upon and even illegal. FIERCE.
4. They always put on an incredible show
Have you seen Little Mix perform live? It’s phenomenal. So much thought and effort go into their shows. They sing and dance (which is flipping hard to do!), they have the best outfits, it’s always so well crafted and you leave there on such a high. And the thing is, every tour, every appearance performance is so different. They are always changing it up and keeping it fresh.
5. They’re literally friendship goals
Whenever a group is brought together by producers or TV shows, there’s always that slight worry that there may be some feuds or forced friendships behind the scenes, but with Little Mix it’s pretty clear how close they are. They’re best friends and are always spending time together when they aren’t working. They have sleepovers, they hang out together and they always have each other’s backs.
