Starting a new music round-up with a new David Kushner album is as solid as you can get! If somehow you aren’t already familiar, David Kushner is one of those artists that everyone needs to know. The music he’s making shows such respect for the art, and such a deep understanding both of what he wants to say, and what his fans want to hear. And that mix is displayed beautifully here on The Dichotomy. ‘Darkerside’ is our current go-to.

Daniel Seavey – ‘Other People’

We are day one Daniel Seavey fans around here, so we have to show up and support! Daniel Seavey has shown, with each solo release, that he has come into his own, and really narrowed in on the music he wants to be making. ‘Other People’ feels so personal, like such a direct message. Daniel’s unreal vocals and impeccable writing ability are on full display here, we couldn’t be more excited to see the way a full-length project unfolds.

JVKE – ‘her’

JVKE has made the perfect end-of-summer, beginning of fall song. It has the folk-fall-esque aspect, while also feeling so sun-soaked and full of emotion. ‘her’ is such a beautiful love letter to love itself, to finding someone who makes things feel worthwhile. We are consistently amazed by JVKE.

Valley – Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden

Valley is one of the greatest bands of all time, and it’s well past time you all begin to give them their well-deserved flowers! Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden is twelve skipless songs. That’s a rarity, but of course, Valley succeeded. While we love this band’s entire discography, their newest album is easily made up of their best music yet. From the writing to the production, it is flawless. ‘Life Goes On Without Me’ is our current favorite track!

Florrie – ‘Swimming Pool’

Florrie has made it clear, summer is simply not over! Now that we have ‘Swimming Pool’ the summer mindset can last forever! This track is injected with the essence of bubblegum pop that feels taken straight from the 90s to the early 2000s, it’s a pop masterpiece. Florrie is the one to watch. Mark our words.

Chris Stapleton – ‘Think I’m In Love With You’

Chris Stapleton is an industry titan, simply one of the best voices in music today. It comes as no surprise to us that both melodically, and visually, ‘Think I’m In Love With You’ has blown us away. The raw emotion that is stitched into every word out of Chris’s mouth on the trick is so apparent and comes through crystal clear when translated into the choices made in this music video.

James Bay – ‘Easy Distraction’

If no one on the internet is talking about James Bay’s indescribably beautiful tone when he sings, we are no longer here.

Every song James Bay puts out is straight out of our musical dreams. So smooth, with so much raw emotion, no matter if the track is upbeat or more melancholy. And of course, ‘Easy Distraction’ fits that description perfectly. We will be listening to ‘Easy Distraction’ and feeling like the main character until the end of time.

Pia Mia is about to be one of the main pop girls, come back to this article in a year and you will see how right we are! If you’re a fan of dance-club pop, ‘SUGAR’ is exactly what you’re looking for!
