4444 – the angel number that represents strength and resilience – is our numeric reminder of our inner power. Now, whenever we see this number, we’ll think of our very own icon, Woosung, who represents self-autonomy. Everyone knows him as the frontman of The Rose, and now, he continues to make waves as a solo artist, taking us into his own musical revolution with his new album.
This latest release, 4444, beautifully blends Woosung’s love for electronic music with that signature rock and alternative pop style most of us associate with him. The album features eight tracks, and we’ve already celebrated the single ‘Day That I Died‘ (you can read all about it here). Now, it’s time to dive into the other tracks that make up the 4444 tracklist.

‘Paper Cuts (Featuring New Vaticans)’
What a way to open an album! This opening collaboration sets a vibrant tone with its uplifting pop beat that sits comfortably with gentle piano melodies. The fusion of New Vaticans’ alternative sound with Woosung’s raspy voice and raw lyricism is captivating. The track even ends with delicate violins. This is precisely how you capture a listener’s intrigue within not even four minutes.
‘Before We Die’
The opening guitar riff is so reminiscent of the early sound of The Rose (think ‘Candy (so good)’), making this an immediate hit for us Black Roses. Here, the electronic elements really come alive, with a beat drop that promises an unforgettable live experience! We can already imagine the crowd going wild when he performs this track. If this song serves as the prelude to ‘The Day That I Died,’ it’s a true contrast to the next slow song ! Again, Woosung has our complete intrigue.
’44 (Forget Forever)’
‘Forget Forever’ is all about living in the moment. It’s full of standout lyrics that everyone needs to hear: “Cause no one lives forever / forever is just a word” and the all-important reminder to “take it all in.” The electronic chorus builds slowly and creates a feeling like you’re the main character in a coming-of-age movie. We already feel like starting a new chapter and leaving the past behind while embracing the present.
‘Never Let Go’
This track brings in a darker, more alternative sound that we know Woosung owns, combined with the upbeat vibe throughout the album. It’s destined to become a classic among fans, with its catchy pop beat that makes it oh-so easy to listen to. This versatile song fits perfectly into any playlist. It features a sound that’s both mainstream and enjoyable no matter how many times you have it on repeat.
‘Found You’
After living it up to those electronic sounds, we experience the delicate beauty of Woosung’s vocals in ‘Found You.’ This track showcases a softer side as he sings about an interstellar lover he can hardly believe is real. Rich in imagery and emotion, there is so much to unpack, especially as the song builds. The optimistic beat has an 80s flair that we can’t help but adore.
‘Happy Alone (Featuring B.I.)’
Bringing back the collaborators, this track has us floored! Imagine the 60s-inspired breakup track. Enter B.I. who adds a whole new dimension with his Korean verse. The blend of their styles is so nice to listen to; we’re totally eager to hear more from this duo.
‘Let There Be Light (Featuring BOL4)’
“Can you teach me how to stop the time?” because we’re already on the album’s final track. ‘Let There Be Light’ perfectly encapsulates the essence of the previous songs, mixing alternative sounds with an electronic vibe. With a chorus that invites you to dance, it feels like we’re ending the album with a smile. The delicate vocals from BOL4 and the harmonies introduced are beautiful and fresh. Honestly, we could write a whole essay on our love for Woosung’s collaboration with female vocalists any day.
With eight new tracks to add to our playlist, our love for Woosung’s creativity and musical style is stronger than ever. With the B4 WE DIE tour kicking off on October 17th, we’re excited to see how the tracks come to life on stage. We have our tickets, do you have yours?
