Joy Is Back! Our Predictions For Jin’s Solo Album, Happy

We have been crossing out our calendars ever since the BTS members left to complete their military service, and we’re so glad to see that our countdowns keep completing every day that passes. What’s the countdown that we have turned to zero this time around? The wait to enjoy our beloved Seokjin‘s solo album, Happy! If you have been just like us, you’ve been blasting (and are still replaying) ‘The Astronaut‘ while having Jin in your mind. We’re so excited to finally enjoy his complete solo project on November 15th!

We’re currently having the time of our lives seeing how Jin is keeping us busy with Run Jin, the special relaunch of ‘Super Tuna,’ and his incredible concept photos (we believe that blonde Jin will save humanity forever), so with these colorful contents, we had to match our WWH’s energy and try to predict what the songs from Happy will sound like! Are you ready to hear what we think Jin has been cooking? Let us commence! 👨‍🍳

Let us begin our predictions by giving a big round of applause for all these song titles. Happy and Jin are here to give us a taste of what real happiness looks like every time we press play on the album, and these titles are already hyping us so much! We’re just so glad he’s back. What is life without his kind heart? 🫂

‘Running Wild’

We’re starting from the top of the tracklist: the title track, ‘Running Wild,’ is about to take us along this beautiful, creative journey inside Jin’s mind. We feel like this first song will comfort us and make us smile ear to ear, just as if ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band‘ and ‘Wild Flower‘ by our beloved Minimoni were combined into one.

And as we know, Jin is incredibly charismatic and a delight to work with, so he has partnered with so many great international artists for this album! We didn’t have in our bingo card that Gary Barlow from Take That (THE Take That!!!!) would help Jin create the title track for his solo album, but we’re definitely not complaining! We’re ready to soar away with Seokjin!

‘I’ll Be There’

We know this will become a classic in our playlists by just listening to the teaser! We instantly got chills when we heard, “I’ll be there for you.” It truly made us snap into the reality that we’re actually getting new Jin music! We made it out of the trenches! We’re so excited to see how Jin is opening the Happy era with this pre-release track and this sick rock style. It reminds us of those classic songs we’ve been blasting in our homes since we were kids, and we feel like our Seokjin will follow this same vibe with ‘I’ll Be There.’

Plus, we have to talk about the styling for this music video. He definitely knows that 3D is pop royalty (IYKYK!).

‘Another Level’

This is the song that we’re the most excited to listen to from Happy‘s roster. We’re predicting that ‘Another Level’ will surprise us in the best way possible by bringing out a different side of Jin, more groovy and funky. Think about how much fun Jin had in the ‘Dynamite’ music video! We would do anything to get a disco-coded song in Jin’s discography!

He has also aligned such a phenomenal roster of musicians for this track! Jon Bellion, our king Pdogg, Pete Nappi (credited on multiple iconic pop tracks), and ARCADES (an EDM duo credited on multiple songs from Map of the Soul : 7 and other K-Pop hits), to name a few. We feel like it will blow our minds!

‘Falling’

Okay, let’s begin our predictions with this one by saying we’re so honored to have the legendary members from ONE OK ROCK collaborating with Jin. We’re very excited to see how our Seokjin’s range will go even further with ‘Falling!’ We feel like this one will be the most rock-heavy track out of the album, but it will absolutely fit Jin’s objective with Happy: to show us the path to a carefree, blessed life. We’re so pumped for the potential guitar riffs in this song!

‘Heart on the Window (with WENDY)’

Listen. This might be the most legendary collab that has ever happened in K-Pop. We’re getting two of the best vocalists in the industry on a track together! ‘Heart on the Window’ already has such a sweet ring with its title, so we think this song will be a bit calmer with softer instrumentals to let Jin and Wendy‘s vocals shine together. We just know that the harmonies are going to be flawless! Are we also allowed to predict (and manifest) that we’re getting a live version of this song? It would be the highlight of our lives!

‘I will come to you’

The BTS members are known for creating complete masterpieces from top to bottom. They’re always able to tell a story with every track, and we think that Happy will be no different. We get the feeling that ‘I will come to you’ will finish the album like a hug. Jin has always been such a positive star in our hearts, and he always expresses how much he treasures ARMYs, so we know this song will include a chorus that we will add to our favorite Jin lyrics list! We’re so thankful for having him in our lives, and we cannot wait to enjoy Happy every day!
