Sum 41, the men, the myths, the legends. Whilst they are disbanding after this tour, they have albums on top albums you can still enjoy. Like most, we first really heard of them through their hit songs ‘Fat Lip’ and ‘In Too Deep.’ Which were released…a while ago… but let’s not talk about age here.
The Tour of the Setting Sum is hitting as many cities in as many countries as it can before we all have to say goodbye (for now) to the band. Make sure you see a show before it’s all gone forever, and this time, we’re not being dramatic. It made its way through London on Halloween, and we were lucky enough to get a slice of the action.

There is something so special about the punk-rock genre of music. It’s so special to so many people, and we’re sure you’ve got a soft spot for something there. It just so happens that our soft spots, are shows like this. Sum 41 brought the energy from the second they stepped out on stage. Despite a medical emergency early on in the show, the band stopped the show to make sure it got sorted and carried on with the same high energy and excitable stage presence they started with.
Opening with ‘Motivation’ they had the crowd hot and sweaty within seconds. People were screaming, jumping, and rocking out like we’ve never seen. Sum 41 played a long set full of their hits like ‘Best of Me’ and ‘Waiting on a Twist of Fate,’ they also debuted ‘Noots’ for the first time. On top of their own songs, they played covers of ‘Master Of Puppets’ and ‘Raining Blood,’ which gave the show that spooky atmosphere that’s much needed on Halloween.
From Deryck running around like a child on a sugar high to insane pyro, to drum and guitar solos, this show was everything a rock lover could need. Every hit of dopamine you could ever ask for and the fans lapped every bit of the show up. There was a sense of desperation because no one really wanted to say goodbye to their favorite band, but also a sense of absolute euphoria because how often do you get to enjoy a band’s last tour this immensely.
Sum 41 made it one for the books, and it felt nostalgic in a way. They’ve been a band for over 20 years and a lot of their fans would have grown up with them, or with their music, given they’ve spanned across a few generations. They’re what we consider, a legendary act.
