When two of our favorite bands announce a tour together, there’s absolutely NO WAY we’re gonna miss it. And just as we expected, Bearings and Broadside shook up Los Angeles in the best way possible!
The two bands set off on tour in October to perform songs of both of their most recent albums: The Best Part About Being Human by Bearings and Hotel Bleu by Broadside. With two albums that rank high on THP’s favorite album list, we knew we were going to be in for the biggest treat of our lives!
Broadside opened up their set with their iconic banger, ‘Stranger,’ followed by ‘Dazed & Confused’ which only set the tone for the rest of the night. When it comes to a Broadside show, there’s literally no way we can’t jump around and finger point at Ollie Baxxter.
We were jumping, dancing, moving, swaying, crying, laughing, and any other emotion you can think of… And it was only 8 o’clock.
By 9:30pm, we were all on the edge of our seats (hypothetically, because it was standing room only show), and ready for Bearings to come out. Opening with ‘Scenery’ was probably the best thing they could’ve ever done because we were, in fact, shaking up the scenery! Dougie, Collin, Ryan, and Mike gave the performance of a lifetime, so full of energy and excitement, so happy to be back in Los Angeles.
Whoever decided to create a Broadside x Bearings tour is our most recent life saver. Hearing ‘Cruel,’ ‘Heavenly,’ ‘Sway’, and ‘Gone, So Gone’ (amongst other songs) in one night was way too much for us to handle. But in the absolute best way possible!
