As we get closer to the end of the year, we at THP can’t help but feel nostalgic. Especially when we look back at all the books and audiobooks we’ve covered in 2024. But now, we also get a chance to revisit the books we read even before this year.
In this Sweet Listens, we’re covering all new sequels that have been released. We’ve previously reviewed the series starters for all of these audiobooks. It’s the first time we’ve been able to do this, so here are our top three November audiobook recommendations (sequel edition)!

Kicking off our November audiobook roundup, we have Heist Royale by Kayvion Lewis! It’s the sequel to Thieves’ Gambit and the conclusion to this duology. Six months after the end of book one, Ross Quest finds herself in a thrilling new gambit, playing for her life and the safety of the entire Quest family. Old friends and former rivals make their return in Heist Royale, along with the romantic tension between Ross and Devroe, of course. The Davenports: More Than This By Krystal Marquis
Our next November audiobook sequel is The Davenports: More Than This by Krystal Marquis! OG THP readers will tell you how much we loved the first book. The Davenports is a historical romance series following four young Black women in 1910s Chicago. Ruby struggles with rumors and reputations only months before her wedding. Olivia finds herself in an unexpected love triangle. Amy-Rose tries to balance her business with repressed feelings for her former crush. Serpent Sea By Maiya Ibrahim
Finally, our last November audiobook sequel is Maiya Ibrahim’s Serpent Sea, the second book in The Spice Road Trilogy. And we’ve been waiting on this release since Spice Road came out in January 2023! Serpent Sea picks up immediately after book one, following Imani on a new quest to find Qayn’s crown and save her people from King Glaedric and the invading Harrowlanders. We get the added perspective of Taha, who’s on a dangerous mission of his own. One that also involves Qayn restoring his crown. Imani’s worldview and abilities start to expand, and we’re already speculating what will happen in the final book.
