News not just in: K-Pop is a global phenomenon, and it’s only getting bigger. But you already knew that, right? Well, just in case you still need it proven to you, here’s a pretty impressive stat: in the last two weeks, there have been eight different K-Pop acts on the Billboard 200. You heard us, eight! With six new entries and two more albums that U.S. audiences just can’t seem to get enough of, it’s never been clearer that K-Pop’s reach continues to expand.

It’s also been a massive year for K-Pop artists in the BBMA nominations! There are a total of 21 nominations for Korean artists, including several that aren’t just in the K-Pop-specific categories. Jungkook leads the pack with six nominations, but let’s take a quick look at them all before we get stuck into the charts!

Billboard 200 Chart
As we said, while we’re highlighting the new entries on the Billboard 200 for the last couple of weeks, they’re not the only K-Pop albums still holding strong on the chart. On the chart dated November 23rd, SEVENTEEN’s album Spill The Feels was still charting at 135, and pop prince Jimin’s album MUSE has been on the chart for 18 consecutive weeks now, most recently at spots 152 and 158. But without further ado, let’s get stuck into those new releases!

TOMORROW X TOGETHER
Ask any TXT fan, and they’ll probably say that one of the most satisfying things they’ve seen as a MOA is TXT’s steady chart growth. With their latest mini-album, The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, the Gen Z It boys reached number two on the Billboard 200 – their 6th top-five placement. They’re the second K-Pop act, after BTS, to achieve this, which is a pretty iconic statistic if you ask us!

Kep1er
Listen, you can never have too many Huening siblings on the Billboard 200, right? Well, the same week that TXT stormed into the chart with SANCTUARY, Kep1er – including, of course, Huening Bahiyyih – got their first-ever entry on the chart with TIPI-TAP!
This comes with their sixth mini album, but also their highly-anticipated first comeback as a seven-member group, making the achievement even more special. TIPI-TAP reached 147th on the Billboard 200, and Kep1er themselves reached 44th on the Billboard Artist 100!

ILLIT
U.S. audiences have really been saying I Like You to ILLIT since the day they debuted! After their mammoth debut ‘Magnetic’ went viral all over the globe and entered the Billboard Hot 100, their follow-up second mini-album, I Like You, featuring title track ‘Tick-Tack,’ has launched them into the Billboard 200 at number 94!

ENHYPEN
Now we move on to the most recent Billboard 200 chart, and the K-Pop party isn’t stopping any time soon! ENHYPEN returned with a repackaged edition of their second album, ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream-. The original version reached number two, and very impressively, the repackaged edition has seen ENHYPEN soar back up into the top 10, at number seven. ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream- also sold 1.4 million copies in a week, making it the biggest-selling K-Pop repackage edition ever! Not bad, eh?

It’s official: Every single member of BTS has a top 10 solo album! Last, but certainly not least, is Jin’s Happy, which debuted at number four. That’s not the only Stateside success that this album has been having either! He took over our screens too with his first solo U.S. TV performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. We’re not sure who we’re more jealous of: the ARMYs who got to see ‘Running Wild’ live, or Jin for that glorious green jacket.

ATEEZ has been having a pretty spectacular year, not just in the U.S. but all over the world. Now, they’ve added to their long list of achievements with their second Billboard 200 number one, thanks to GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2! Proving their global superstardom, they’ve also reached the top five in the UK’s album chart again, and they’re the first K-Pop group to have four consecutive top 10 albums. GOLDEN HOUR?
