We are back and better than ever! We have new music from everyone from Maddie Zahm to Jensen McRae, and so much more! Let’s jump in!
Maddie Zahm – ‘Sheets’
Is there a better way to kick off a new music round-up than with the newest Maddie Zahm track? Absolutely not!
If there is one thing we can always count on with Maddie Zahm, it’s that she is going to flex her relationship with her pen in each and every lyric of every single song. And of course, ‘Sheets’ is no different. This track marks the next era for Maddie and is our first look at the vibes we can expect for what’s to come. We can’t wait to scream these lyrics on tour!

Lauren Spencer Smith – ‘Pray’
Lauren Spencer Smith will always make us cry, it’s a certainty at this point. Her lyrics beautifully express her emotions and evoke those emotions right back out of us. ‘Pray’ perfectly encapsulates that feeling of knowing someone is struggling with how they treated you, and knowing in your heart that you don’t hold any animosity, instead, you just ‘Pray’ for them. It’s the high road embodied.

Alessia Cara – ‘Slow Motion’
Having new Alessia Cara music in our lives has been a true highlight of the last several months! ‘Slow Motion’ marks the third track that has been released from Alessia’s up-and-coming album, Love & Hyperbole, and has us fully convinced this is going to be our favorite Alessia album thus far. This track shows true artistic growth, while still giving us that classic Alessia Cara sound that we have loved for years, it’s the best of both worlds.

The Driver Era – ‘Same Old Story’
If you aren’t already fully engulfed in the discography from The Driver Era, allow ‘Same Old Story’ to be the track that is your gateway. ‘Same Old Story,’ to us feels like the perfect song to play while driving along the coast during the summer with your windows down as the sun is setting, which is our ideal category for a song to fall into. While we would usually say The Driver Era fits in the pop-rock genre, we think ‘Same Old Story’ is fully indie-pop, which is a direction we would love to see explored more.

Jensen McRae – ‘Earthquake Yellow’
‘Earthquake Yellow’ is one of those rare, tragically beautiful musical moments that truly have moved us. Jensen McRae, being the wordsmith that she is, was able to pen a love letter to Los Angeles, an ode to it’s suffering during such a devastating time. This song shows such empathy, and humanity, as has the response to it. Truly, Jensen McRae is such a gift, and you all should both check out this song exclusively on Bandcamp, as well as the rest of Jensen’s music wherever you choose to stream.

Lyn Lapid – ‘Coraline’
Using ‘Coraline’ to describe feeling out of place truly couldn’t appeal to us more. This whole song felt like Lyn Lapid ripped pages straight out of our hypothetical diary, she dialed completely into the feeling of loneliness, of feeling like a fish out of water. We need everyone to get on board the Lyn Lapid train immediately because this is her year.

If you’re looking for the next pop star that you’re going to be completely entranced by, look no further than Lo Lauren! We have been closely watching Lo Lauren’s career since ‘Only One On Earth’ came out back in 2023, and since then she has only blossomed into making the pop perfection found on ‘Born To Run.’

Daniel Seavey – ‘Second Wind’
If you look in Daniel Seavey’s corner, you will always find us there! Getting to watch Daniel find his solo sound has been the true experience of watching a star be born. You can tell that ‘Second Wind’ is Daniel finally settling into what his ‘sound’ is, and we are certain we are only going to see that further cemented with the release of his upcoming album!

Sadie Jean – ‘Nice Knowing You’
We have praised ‘Nice Knowing You’ before, and we will probably do it again! This track is self-aware and brutally honest. You witness Sadie realize that she already knew the relationship was doomed, which you can also see play out perfectly within the visuals. There is a softness and a finality expressed through both the lyrics and their visual counterparts in a way that makes this the perfect direction for the music video to have taken.
