Shadows Of Perl By J. Elle

We’re kicking off this Black History Month reading list with Shadows of Perl by J. Elle. This book is the second in J. Elle’s House of Marionne trilogy, a YA fantasy with forbidden magic and family secrets. Quell Marionne has bound to her toushana magic and become enemies with her former lover, Jordan Wexton. They stand on opposite sides of a war between houses that culminate into a giant cliffhanger ending. We’ve been not-so-patiently anticipating book three.
