Rain and cold weather can’t stop us from queuing up at 10 in the morning to see our fave perform live! With 9 hours to spare, we sat outside the venue making new fangirl friends, playing games, listening to every Finneas song (with special emphasis on the setlist songs), reading our new favorite romance books, and of course, taking a nap or two. By the time we knew it, it was 7pm, and the doors to the venue opened! Basically the same thing as the gates of heaven opening up, right? We secured a spot close to the center barricade, and now it was just a matter of minutes until the opener came on…

The Opener: Bad Suns
When Finneas first announced that he was going on tour with Bad Suns, we knew it was going to be, without a doubt, an amazing show. Here in the hive, we are huge fans of Miles Morris, Gavin Bennett, and Christo Bowman. Before this night, we had never seen them live, so our expectations were high. Luckily our expectations were met, and we were overall wowed by the band! They gave us so many fun moments of guitar riffs, drum solos, and more impressive musical moments.
The best songs of the night? ‘Baby Blue Shades’ and ‘Life Was Easier When I Only Cared About Me.’ We also had an amazing time singing to their new single, ‘Communicating!’If you plan on attending Finneas’ show, don’t forget to take time to get to know Bad Suns and their music. We promise you won’t regret it!
Here’s a little taste of what you can expect from a live Bads Suns performance:
Finneas’ Standout Songs
When Finneas walked onstage after Bad Suns’ stellar performance, the entire room screamed. It was the moment we were all waiting for!
We’re not here to spoil the official setlist, but we do have to gush about our favorite songs from the evening. Although we’re in love with every single song Finneas has ever put out (especially in the For Cryin’ Out Loud era), we were so excited when our all-time faves got played right in front of our eyes. Here are our top favorite songs of the night:
- ‘Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa’
- ‘Sweet Cherries’
- ‘Only A Lifetime’
- ‘Starf***er’
- ‘The Kids Are All Dying’
Stories & Funny Fan Moments
One reason why we love Finneas so much is because he’s an amazing storyteller! Not just in his songs, but on stage with fans. Finneas knows how to interact with each person in the audience and give everyone some sort of special attention.
He signed a flag sporting an adorable photo of his dog Peaches, wore fan-made sunglasses, wished a special fan happy birthday, and gave out his guitar picks throughout the night. He shared a fond memory of the last time he was in Raleigh, NC, in 2020, right before COVID-19 ended his tour with sister Billie Eilish, the Where Do We Go Tour. Before the performance, the two went to a ropes course—this is a fond memory that Finneas says he remembers to this day. It was so wonderful that Finneas took a few moments out of the night to talk to us and make us laugh.
Live Performance
The entire night was basically a giant jam session with Finneas and his band. It felt intimate, yet also made the whole room feel bigger than it really was. There’s no doubt that Finneas can put on a show! He loves to interact with fans and throw in some funky dance moves while he has the time. To no one’s surprise, we’re giving For Cryin’ Out Loud The Tour 10/10 honeybee stars!
Get tickets to see Finneas in your city here! Don’t forget, you can always upgrade to VIP for exclusive merch and early entry (fangirl life hack!).
