Ten years ago, we were in 2015, scrolling down on Tumblr or We Heart It if you were scared of Tumblr. Dystopia was the it-girl of movies and books, and fandom culture, only strengthened. Boy bands, girl bands, and alternative rock, and pop were the things we were all hearing. Music has always been a crucial part of nostalgia, and in 2015 we got some of the best albums of the century. We did our research and listened to many albums turning 10 this year. We have come down to our final list. These are our top 10 Iconic albums turning 10 in 2025 in no specific order!
The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt 1 and 2 by BTS
We have to start strong by mentioning two of BTS’s most influential albums of their career. Both parts of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life gave us hits like ‘Run,’ ‘Butterfly,’ and ‘I Need U.’ These 3 songs are iconic songs; Armys got to know the group through them, holding a special place in the boys’ careers. As for the music, each song represents the unknowns and the fears that come with growing up and becoming an adult. It’s about that time in our lives when we are not teens anymore, but we are not quite ready to be adults.

Badlands by Halsey
Halsey’s debut album, Badlands, is a certificate of Tumblr nostalgia. Back in 2015, everybody wanted Halsey’s blue hair and knew ‘Colors’ by heart. Don’t lie to us; we know that you always say the iconic:
“You were red, and you liked me ’cause I was blue. But then you touched me, and suddenly I was a lilac sky, and you decided that purple just wasn’t for you… “
The beauty of this album and the main reason it is still popular to this day is the fact that Halsey dives into different aspects of life while being young, but not so naive. The whole atmosphere of the record feels like a dystopia, and songs like ‘New Americana’ and ‘Gasoline’ are just two of the many songs that feel like being part of a revolution. Also, we have to say that at the time the album came out, Halsey became popular for the uniqueness of her voice and the creativity that she put behind the album.

Blue Neighborhood by Troye Sivan
Troye Sivan’s debut album is a unique first record that encapsulated his style and visions in music. With songs like ‘Wild’ and ‘Fools,’ Troye magnificently encapsulated teenagehood, describing different scenarios that could happen to us. Also, the album’s production is fantastic, and it’s still relevant to this day. The reason behind this? The feeling of nostalgia. Even 10 years later, listening to the album feels like being young, wild, and free. Oh, and we cannot forget about the Blue Neighborhood trilogy. The three songs and music videos tell a story about a kid and his best friend who fall in love. However, as they grow up, they realize their love can’t be, because of the love interest’s father. It’s a deep and strong story about the reality of LGBTQ+ couples and their fight to be free.

Get Weird by Little Mix
Being the band’s third studio album, Get Weird catapulted Little Mix to worldwide stardom. In this, the girls took their talents to a whole new level. From their vocals to their lyrics and even the music videos, this album is one of the most important for Little Mix as a group. Just picture it: it’s 2015, you’re on the school bus, and you’re blasting ‘Black Magic’ and then ‘Love Me Like You’… the vibe was immaculate. Also, ‘Secret Love Song, Pt II.’ became an anthem for LGBT fans who felt seen with song lyrics. It’s precisely the songwriting of the album that takes the crown, with songs like ‘Love Me or Leave’ that make us cry today for its rawness.

Sounds Good Feels Good by 5 Seconds Of Summer
This album has a special place in all the 5SOSfam hearts. In this, 5SOS describes the struggles of being a teen in a world that never stops. This includes talking about mental struggles, feeling hopeless, and the urge to fit in. For us, Sounds Good Feels Good demonstrated how talented 5SOS is in songwriting. They created a safe space for their fans in songs like ‘Jet Black Heart.’ This track is about dealing with the struggles and the pain that people go through in the hope of overcoming them.
We are sure that the album has helped a lot of fans around the world who felt seen through music. And we cannot forget the absolute tour classic that is ‘Waste The Night’, the track that creates an atmosphere out of a coming-of-age movie in every single concert. With all of that being said, in short, we want to thank 5SOS for creating one of the most special and beautiful albums of 2015.

Wiped Out! by The Neighborhood
Another Tumblr classic! Back in 2015, listening to The Neighborhood was a signal of having an alternative taste and also being into the pastel goth aesthetic. But let’s get more into the music. The album centers itself more on the rock genre than the pop genre. This allowed the band to find its distinguished sound. Most of the album has a slowed pace, with songs like ‘The Beach,’ ‘R.I.P 2 My Youth,’ and ‘Daddy Issues’ (Yes, this song came out in 2015, not 2020), which give the band a pretty chill atmosphere. For us, Wiped Out! It’s the album that changed the band and how their career developed. Listening to their most recent work shows us that this album still influences a lot of the band’s songs.

Made in The A.M. by One Direction
One Direction’s last album, Made in The A.M., showed us a mature version of the boys. Sadly, this is the only 1D album of which Zayn isn’t part, which still hurts today. However, we have to say that Made In The A.M. is 1D’s record with the most meaningful lyrics. Even though it isn’t a goodbye album, because we all thought that they were coming back from the hiatus, the album felt like the perfect goodbye. With songs like ‘Walking in the Wind’ and ‘History,’ the band once again guaranteed the fans that they would always be with them.
As Directions ourselves, Made In The A.M. feels like a love letter to the fans. Can we also talk about the ballads from the album? ‘If I Could Fly’ and ‘I Want To Write You A Song‘ are two tracks that every time we hear them, we can’t help but miss the good old days.

Purpose by Justin Bieber
The rebirth of Justin’s career as a musician happened 10 years ago with the masterpiece that’s Purpose! Mixing pop and dance, this album is a go-to for feeling nostalgic. It’s a fact that after the release, the album’s summers were never the same for how hyped we felt back then, listening to this album. One of the greatest things about the record is the collaboration, like ‘The Feeling’ with Halsey. In this, both their voices fit perfectly and harmonize beautifully. The song not only matched the vibes of Purpose but also the vibes of Badlands! Another thing that changed the game for the album and Justin was the music videos of this era. To this day, we are sure that if you play ‘Sorry’ at a party, someone will know the choreography step by step!

Blurryface by Twenty One Pilots
It’s a fact that this album sent Twenty One Pilots to worldwide stardom. One of the greatest things about this album is how natural it felt to mix rap and rock in a song. This is one of the main reasons why Twenty One Pilots is one of the most important bands of the century, for its ability to mix two things that may seem like they don’t belong together. Also, ‘Stressed Out,’ introduced people all around the globe to different sounds that weren’t as usual back in 2015. This record changed the life of the band forever, and to this day, Blurryface is a trademark for alternative rock music.

GO:OD AM by Mac Miller
Mac Miller is one of the biggest losses of the music industry, and every day we miss having his talent around. With his albums, he changed lives, and GO:OD AM is one of those for the history books. One of the greatest things about the album is how listening to every song feels like a different experience. Miller mixes his voice, sound effects, and, of course, his rap to create more than an album. He made a sensorial experience. Also, the features of the album are perfect. All of them fit in a way that doesn’t seem forced. In ‘Weekend ft. Miguel,’ both artists bring their talent to create a chill and feel-good song. Miguel has a signature R&B voice that, mixed with Mac Miller’s rap, creates an atmosphere that proves to us that this album is not only to be heard but to be felt.
