There’s no place like tour—especially a Role Model tour. Every moment from the final stop of The No Place Like Tour with Role Model and Genevieve Stokes was nothing short of sublime. From dancing in the crowd with like-minded fans to witnessing the last ‘Sally’ picked, the night flew by in the best way. Our Boston stop felt like dancing on an escalator—effortless, joyful, and a little surreal. Stick around to see how Tucker and his crew closed out the tour in true celebratory fashion.
Genevieve Stokes

With every new concert we cover, there’s always an opener who completely captivates us—and this time, it was Genevieve Stokes. Her glittering melancholy sounds transformed the venue, and her deep-rooted love for music was undeniable. Playing the biggest venue so far in her career, and opening up for an artist that has inspired her, had been special to see.
The crowd was mesmerized as she played standouts like ‘Habits’ and ‘Surface Tension’. If you’re into artists like Delaney Bailey or Wasia Project, you’ll want to keep your eyes—and ears—on this magically gifted artist.
Role Model

On the final night of The No Place Like Tour, Role Model—aka Tucker Pillsbury—left everything on stage. This tour has been a slow-burning tribute to his latest album, ‘Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye)’, and Boston, fittingly, held the closing chapter. The city already meant something to him—last time, he stood on that very MGM Music Hall stage opening for Gracie Abrams. This time, he returned not as a guest, but as the moment. His energy pulsed with gratitude and urgency, amplified by a crowd that had waited patiently after the original date was postponed. Every note, every glance felt like a promise kept.

Something About These Divas
Something about this crowd was magnetic. Fans gathered from all over the state with decked out outfits and bedazzled signs. We were aware just how dedicated Role Model fans were but this was next level. They truly let the night be a night to leave it all behind. Talking with some fans we got hear of how his music has helped them connect with home–or the version of home that they have either left behind or missed dearly. It didn’t go past us that this was such a truly special evening for most.

There was an uproar of cheering as Role Model ended the setlist. Tucker and his band held it down as they seemed saddened to leave to stage but excited to start on a new chapter. We laughed at Tucker’s quippy humor, we sang loudly at Sally together with the crowd, and we cried as they took their final bow. Until next time, or shall we say were saying the longest goodbye until the next tour or album release.
