It is never too late to bring your attention to a new artist, or in this case, a new group. Especially now that they have dropped the word “project” from their name. This could only mean that the newest Thai boy group is here to conquer the music scene, and we’re welcoming them with open ears and spots on our playlists. It’s time to direct you toward your new favorite boys in JASP.ER.
JASP.ER, Who Are They?
Aou, Joong, Pond, and Santa are the boys we’ve been more and more obsessed with since December 2024: JASP.ER’s debut into the world. For BL fans, these four faces are already well known. But now, they’re drawing even more attention with this new endeavor. While they may not be new to performing on stage, as they have shown their talents during various fancons, this dream is still a new challenge to tackle. But from the looks of it, they’re already having us wrapped around their music and style.
We at THP have been enjoying the talents of the JASP.ER boys through their acting in various projects. In fact, we’ve even heard them sing the soundtracks for their respective series as well. Those of you who watch K-Pop survival shows may even recognize Santa, who participated in MBC’s Fantasy Boys. So, if you were one of his supporters and hoped he would achieve his dream of debuting, you’re probably just as thrilled about his addition to JASP.ER. Meanwhile, T-Pop enthusiasts, especially LYKN fans, have you seen their collab with Joong and Pond in ‘CHARM?’ We’re absolutely obsessed with it. And don’t let us start with Aou’s dancing and presence: on stage and on screen. JASP.ER comprises of four talented individuals, and we’re here to stan all four of them.
From Project To A Full-Fledged Group, JASP.ER ‘TAKE IT OFF’
JASP.ER debuted in the second half of December 2024 with ‘SADISTIC,’ just in time to make sure we had a lovely holiday season. Needless to say, we’ve been streaming the song ever since and are craving more. It was our first taste of what the boys can do as a group, and it also introduced us to new sides of them. But we had one concern about it: they were called PROJECT JASP.ER. How long were they supposed to last, or was it a test drive to see how the audience would take them? If it was the second, it looked like their debut was well-received.
Just days before their second single, ‘TAKE IT OFF,’ dropped, the group revealed a teaser where the word “project” was sprayed over. Imagine our excitement to see that, or did you feel it as well? And this new single is yet another banger. It sings of someone hurt by love and finding it hard to trust and encourages them to open up once again, as the right person will help them heal. Or the right group 😉 We can’t deny the appeal and confidence the members portray in the music video, fully enthralling us with their charms.
‘TAKE IT OFF,’ for us, marks yet another beginning for JASP.ER. They are here to stay and show what they’ve got, and we’re ready to watch them grow and take over the music scene. Just like they have won our hearts with their acting projects.
How in love are you with JASP.ER and their music? Do you have a favorite between ‘TAKE IT OFF’ and ‘SADISTIC?’ Drop by our social at @thehoneypop, Facebook, and Instagram, to talk more about JASP.ER, our new favorite Thai boy group.
