We are back and better than ever this week with what’s new in music! From the new HAIM track, to the new James Arthur album, there’s a little something for everyone. Let’s jump in!
Lauren Spencer Smith – ‘IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL)’
Lauren Spencer Smith just released our favorite track of hers to date, ‘IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL).’ This track truly feels like an artistic rebirth for Lauren, diverting from the more sad side of grief, from the hurt like we see in ‘Flowers’ and ‘28,’ just to name a few, to the angsty side. We can’t wait to hear what this upcoming album sounds like and how Lauren continues to explore the emotional spectrum.

HAIM – ‘Down to be wrong’
Summer 2025 is the summer of HAIM; you can’t convince us otherwise. This era started with ‘Relationships,’ and every single song has been a discography highlight. ‘Down to be wrong’ is sun-soaked in the same way that Aly & AJ’s music and Sheryl Crow’s music are to us, and we can’t get enough.

Zara Larsson – ‘Pretty Ugly’
Zara Larsson is back and making some of the most enticing pop music with ‘Pretty Ugly.’ The chanting at the beginning, into the sound we’ve come to know and love from Zara Larsson, makes for what is one of our contenders for current favorite track of the year. We need a full-length project ASAP!

Lo Lauren – Wonderlust
Lo Lauren is a full-blown pop star. That has truly never been more apparent to us than while front to back listening to Wonderlust and realizing what a deep understanding of pop music it takes to make music that just hits every mark you’re looking for. ‘Would It Be So Bad’ is our current favorite, but it’s ever changing.

James Arthur – PISCES
Leave it to James Arthur to do what he’s been doing since 2016 and just rip our hearts out with every turn of his newest record, PISCES. From ‘Cruel’ (our personal favorite) to ‘Embers,’ each track feels like it taps into emotions in such a raw way, and that’s felt both lyrically and vocally.

Shaboozey – Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going: The Complete Edition
Shaboozey has once again proven why he has been on top of the world over the last year! The success of ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ could have been a one-off, but when you’re as insanely talented as Shaboozey, you’re going to get entire albums with songs that could easily be the next hit. Our current favorite track off the deluxe version of Shaboozey’s latest album is ‘Amen’ with the incredible Jelly Roll!

Maude Latour – ‘Miss America’
In her first track since Sugar Water came out last year, Maude Latour is ‘Miss America.’ Even with less than a year between the album and this track, the artistic growth is so clear. We hear some Lana influence on this, which lends itself perfectly to this perfect summer-infused indie-pop track.

Jenna Raine – Only Started Growing
Jenna Raine is one of the most promising up-and-coming artists in pop music, who, mark our words, is going to only keep getting bigger and better. Each track she puts out showcases this positive upswing, this intangible thing that leaves you just feeling good. We find that to be most apparent with ‘Good Grief.’
