Our new country obsession has entered the chat. If you haven’t heard the name Stella Lefty yet, this is our moment to make you a fan. We recently saw Stella Lefty perform live, and we seriously fell in love with her energy, her songs, and her sweet personality on stage. Now, we’re completely locked in and are listening to her music every day. Let us introduce you to Stella Lefty with these four songs that span her discography!
‘I Know I Know’
Stella’s most recent release is quickly drawing attention. Even before its official release, Stella was teasing ‘I Know I Know’ all over her Instagram and TikTok, which of course we’ve been following for some time now. Right when we heard that hook, “one glass of wine, and you’re on my mind,” we immediately left a comment begging Stella to drop the song. Luckily, she took our advice (thanks, Stella) and gave us our new favorite song! ‘I Know I Know’ is an utterly catchy country song with that flair of feminine energy we want all our country bops to have. Give it a listen!
‘Boston’
If you don’t know Stella from ‘I Know I Know,’ then you might know her from her popular song ‘Boston.’ Like every good artist (cue Reneé Rapp‘s ‘I Hate Boston’ and Tate McRae‘s ‘think later’), Stella has a song about the city of Boston and why it’s lowkey traumatized her. Hearing ‘Boston’ live was a peak concert experience, in our opinion, and we need all of you honeybees to also experience it! If you need even more of a reason to go stream ‘Boston,’ it currently has over 29 million streams on Spotify, meaning you’re already late to the game. Go, go, go!
‘Could’ve Been Me’
Our favorite Stella Lefty song is ‘Could’ve Been Me,’ so of course we had to include it in this list. This track shows us another side to Stella that makes us fall even more in love with her music. ‘Could’ve Been Me’ is deeply personal, yet deeply relatable. It’s about feeling out of place in your hometown, and suddenly realizing you don’t belong amongst your peers who seem to be miles ahead of you in life. However, throughout the song, Stella also realizes that a small-town life isn’t her dream, and she’s grateful she escaped when she did. If you find yourself in a similar situation, then you might need to hear the rest of the lyrics of ‘Could’ve Been Me.’
‘Thinking ‘Bout You’
Finally, we have to shout out ‘Thinking ’bout You,’ the song that likely changed Stella’s life. Out of all the songs in this list, ‘Thinking ’bout You’ is the song you will know. That chorus, “swear I’m not trying to, can’t help but thinking ’bout you,” has been stuck in our heads ever since we first heard the song. It was also all over our TikTok feed back in January, and we guarantee your feed was flooded with it, too. Thanks to TikTok, we honeybees are now Stella Lefty fans, and we couldn’t be more grateful!
