Just when we thought music was taking a little break, these six new releases hit us like a bus! These two new album releases and four new songs have captured our attention the most this week. From Ariana Grande‘s first single off petal to Young Miko‘s deluxe album with some standout featured artists, here’s our weekly roundup of the best of what we’ve heard this week.
‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ By Ariana Grande
Of course, Ariana Grande’s new song is at the tippy top of this list. New Ariana music in 2026 was not on anyone’s bingo card, but here we are accepting ‘hate that i made you love me’ with open arms. Seemingly about her relationship with fans and the media, this is the first single off her eighth studio album, petal, arriving July 31st. The entire fandom seems to be on the same page that this new song is absolutely perfect! From hearing Ariana sing in her low register again to the celestial-themed lyrics, we’re so here for this new era of Ari music!

‘From Down Here’ By Lola Young
Lola Young is back in the studio and has gifted us ‘From Down Here.’ Like all of Lola’s best songs, ‘From Down Here’ gets deeply emotional and personal. She’s making it clear – it’s time to rewrite the story of her career, no matter how ‘Messy’ some people think it has been so far. Through it all, we’ve supported Lola, and now that she’s back with new music, we are so excited to still be on the ride! What did you think about ‘From Down Here?’
“The day after the GRAMMYs, I had a wave of inspiration hit me, so I got in the studio with the incredible James Blake and made this song. I am rewriting the next chapter of my story because what a boring book the old one would’ve been anyway.”

‘Long Story Short’ By Knox
You know we’ve got to throw Knox’s new song in here! Since day one, we’ve been Knox fans, so whenever he drops new music, we’re always the first to tune in. ‘Long Story Short’ does what Knox does best – taking us into that 2000s rock world that’s got a chorus just too catchy not to sing along to. If you’re also a Knox fan, then you already know the vibes of ‘Long Story Short,’ so we’ll keep this short (😉).
“’Long Story Short’ leans into that warm, radio-worn early 2000s rock sound. Gritty but melodic guitars, steady drums, and a vocal that sounds like it’s holding something back on purpose. It captures the quiet aftermath of a breakup where she’s already gone for good, but you refuse to unpack it, brushing it off with half-answers and silence. The chorus has a familiar, bittersweet hook while the verses feel like late-night drives, streetlights blurring past, and memories you won’t quite let yourself sit in. It’s about turning something heavy into a shrug and saying ‘long story short’ because the full version hurts too much to tell.”

Do Not Disturb: Late Checkout By Young Miko
More Young Miko songs are something we’d never say no to. Do Not Disturb got a major upgrade with the release of Do Not Disturb: Late Checkout. We absolutely loved every song from the OG album, but this deluxe project has us in awe. I mean, talk about those features – Destin Conrad and Rauw Alejandro? We are so locked in to this! But truly, Young Miko can do no wrong in our book, so we can’t say enough wonderful things about Do Not Disturb: Late Checkout. Stream it with us now!

Cosmic Opera Act I and Cosmic Opera Act II By Labrinth
Labrinth making a project with the word “opera” in it only makes sense. His music is certified operatic! These two new projects, Cosmic Opera Act I and Cosmic Opera Act II, form one cohesive project and bring us fully into the new creative world of Labrinth. ‘The Living’ is a standout song, giving us strong guitar moments and those EDM beats we know from Labrinth well. We’ll always be supporting Labrinth, and we can’t wait to hear these new songs live on The Undoing Tour.
