Who else is doing it like BIGBANG? Trick question; the answer is no one! These K-Pop legends have just released a brand new single on their 20th debut anniversary (which is already a feat on its own). ‘BiiiG’ is the type of hard-hitting, hip-hop banger that our playlist has been missing!
Leave it to BIGBANG to set the standards for K-Pop instead of keeping up with the trends. They’re about to embark on their XX: Cosmos World Tour, and we cannot wait to see ‘BiiiG’ live for the first time. ‘BiiiG’
From the music production to the visuals, ‘BiiiG’ exceeded all our expectations! It’s clear that everything BIGBANG does is intentional. Like the song title having three i’s to represent each of the three members. Or the music video being a masterclass in styling and color. Not to mention G-DRAGON, Taeyang, and Daesung all dying their hair bright shades of yellow, pink, and blue to match the set. We now have even more inspiration for our concert outfits.

Longtime VIPs will recognize ‘BiiiG’ as quintessentially BIGBANG. It’s gritty, experimental, and utterly danceable. And if it didn’t win you over on the first listen, we guarantee it’ll be stuck in your head by the second or third replay. Chorus
“Don’t say it’s a trend. Been there, done it”
As the original trendsetters of K-Pop, everything BIGBANG touches turns to gold. Fashion. Music. Art. They don’t need to know what’s trending now when they’ve been ahead of the game for years, as this line from the chorus says. 20 years, to be exact. By the time the rest of us catch on, the members are off to experiment with something newer. And BIGBANG’s discography never strays from what they want their sound to be. Their authenticity speaks for itself.
First Verse
“Energy is an XL, that’s why I do art / Read it as BIGBANG, write it as a space ambassadors”
Speaking of authenticity, G-DRAGON spits nothing but facts in his rap verses in ‘BiiiG.’ This lyric from his first verse is one of our favorites because real, human art has an energy that’s larger than life. We can all recognize it, hear it, and see it. Then to compare BIGBANG to space ambassadors shows that they’re pioneers not only in K-Pop but the music world as a whole. Their minds are in a whole new stratosphere, coming down to Earth to perform for us mere mortals (read: VIPs).
Pre-Chorus
“Together but we movе our own way / Beyond mind and space / Big shots, Salvador Dali”
The lines of the pre-chorus speak along the same vein. Every member of BIGBANG has been pursuing the creative path that they want. Whether as a group or as solo artists, they’re done proving things to people who want to shut them down. With this freedom, they’re able to transcend mind and space. Name-dropping Salvador Dali adds a whole new layer to this lyric, considering how Dali’s paintings make us feel the same way as when we listen to BIGBANG’s music.

‘La La La’
If you’re a fan of the hip-hop sound in ‘BiiiG,’ then we know you’ll love ‘La La La’ from BIGBANG’s second single album, Big Bang is V.I.P. This track is a little more groovy than gritty, but it’s just as danceable. You already know it’s a banger when it’s still relevant nearly 20 years later. And we find ourselves feeling extra nostalgic every time ‘La La La’ plays in our shuffle.
‘Still Alive’
As soon as we saw the keyhole-shaped coffins in the ‘BiiiG’ music video, we knew we had to incorporate ‘Still Alive’ from their fifth EP, Alive, somehow. BIGBANG shows that they’re not going anywhere and they’re “still alive” and kicking! Their 2012 track reassured VIPs throughout years of hiatus, just as their 2026 single will reassure fans that more music is on the way.
‘We Like 2 Party’
You guys didn’t think we’d let the line “We like to party after party, no sleep” from ‘BiiiG’ pass us by, did you? ‘We Like 2 Party’ from BIGBANG’s MADE album is the perfect song to end this mini-roundup. Not only does it have the summer vibes we’ll be taking with us to the world tour, but it also reminds us to take in and enjoy each moment of it. Any event can be a party if you let it, especially when you play BIGBANG.
