It’s Never ‘Too Late’ To Get Hyped For The New SZA Album, SOS!

SZA released her last album Ctrl in 2017, giving us hits like ‘Drew Barrymore’ and ‘The Weekend’ that we have seriously had on loop for the last five years. However, while we may love Ctrl, we have also spent the last five years longing for a new SZA album. So, you can imagine how hyped we were to find out that her new album, SOS, would be dropping this month!

SZA first came onto our radars in 2014 with the release of her flawless debut album, Z. In the years since, SZA has become one of the most recognizable artists in the R&B genre and garners an impressive 7.2 billion streams. SZA has also featured on a variety of huge songs; for instance, Maroon 5’s ‘What Lovers Do’ and Doja Cat’s ‘Kiss Me More.’ ‘Kiss Me More’ earned SZA her first GRAMMY award and is easily one of our favorite collaborations from last year.

Set to release on December 9th, SOS is SZA’s third full-length studio album and will explore themes such as distress, reflection, and transition. The album will feature a whopping 23 songs, including tracks such as ‘Good Days,’ ‘Shirt,’ and ‘I Hate U.’

SOS also has a variety of interesting features, including artists such as Don Toliver and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. We have to admit though, the feature we are most looking forward to is Pheobe Bridgers! This is a duo that we would never have expected to make a song together, but we already know that it is going to be our favorite song on the album.

SZA has already given us a taste of what we can expect from this new SOS record, having already performed ‘Blind’ on Saturday Night Live and giving us a sneak peek at ‘Nobody Gets Me’ on YouTube Shorts. We seriously can’t wait to see what else this album has in store! See the full tracklist below:
