Steal Monet de Haan’s Gossip Girl Style With These Amazon Finds

Hello, Upper East Siders… The Honey POP is here! If you’ve been marathon-watching HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot as much as we have, you’ve probably fallen head-over-heels for Monet de Haan’s impeccable style, which combines that Old Money aesthetic with a more modern, bold feel that matches her personality.

But if you don’t have access to a trust fund, it probably seems hard to channel her unique fashion sense into your wardrobe. Don’t worry, we’re here to help! We combed back through screencaps, edits, and more to find some of Monet’s standout looks, then scoured Amazon for more affordable pieces that won’t make your bank account want to cry. Let’s dive right in, but make sure you avoid turmeric while wearing these pieces because Queen de Haan herself taught us it stains forever.

Hey, honey! Just so you know, there are some links in this article which we may earn money from if you make a purchase using them. It’s at no extra cost to you and helps us as an independent publication massively. Thanks for supporting The Honey POP! There’s also a chance of light spoilers for Gossip Girl season 2 below.

Season 1, Episode 1

Our first introduction to Monet is a string of showdowns with Constance Billard’s teachers, where she questions why they use the same entrance as her friend group and casually threatens to get them fired. Her elegant style and quick wit immediately gave us Blair Waldorf vibes, and we’re so here for it! Maybe don’t try to get your teachers fired, but you can emulate this Monet with a tweed co-ord set and a mint green bag.

Season 1, Episode 1

A get-together at a swanky venue like Dumbo Hall calls for an appropriately sophisticated outfit, and we think Monet nailed that with this David Koma bodysuit, which stars like BLACKPINK’s Jennie has worn. You can recreate her look without breaking the bank with a long-sleeve houndstooth top and your favorite black skirt! Don’t forget some pretty drop earrings and your bestie by your side to finish it off.

Season 1, Episode 4

It’s always so fun to see how the Gossip Girl crew reimagines the classic school uniform, especially when it comes to Monet. One of our favorite examples is this outfit from Season 1, which pops up in the memorable scene where she makes fun of Julien for appearing in that infamous quarantine ‘Imagine’ video. Get the look at home with a pinstripe jacket and a white turtleneck, then cross your fingers that your PR client doesn’t make a major internet faux pas.

Season 2, Episode 1

We love a good monochrome moment, and Monet kicked off Season 2 by absolutely wowing us in that department! Her beret, bow tie, blazer, purse, and even boots were all coordinated in shades of cerulean and powder blue – we found dupes for her beret, blazer, and bag if you’re feeling blue.

Season 2, Episode 2

We couldn’t find a great dupe for Monet’s iconic Queen Bee blazer, so who’s up for a little DIY? Start with a white tweed blazer and grab some red trim (bonus points if it’s textured to match the tweed or has rhinestones for a little extra glam) – you’ll want to sew the trim around the lapel, cuffs, and the bottom hem of the jacket. Finally, add some of your favorite pins, or just steal some from a friend, like how Monet “borrowed” Julien’s. Then you’re ready to rule the school!

Season 2, Episode 3

When our favorite new Manhattan elites head to a gala at the Guggenheim, Monet finally connects with a girl she’s had a crush on from afar, only to find out she’s actually straight and pretending to be a lesbian to grow her following. Of course, our girl won’t stand for it, so she lets out her wild side and sends the scoop to Gossip Girl! We were so proud of Monet for refusing to let Tiff keep exploiting queerness for clout, and we were also proud she chose a stunning cheetah print dress like this one that night.

Season 2, Episode 4

Monet truly has the Preppy Rich Girl fashion game on lock, and this is one of our fave looks that proves it! This one’s all about the layering – start with an argyle cardigan, then add a detachable collar and a plaid blazer. Top it off with a matching headband, and voila, you’re ready to evoke fear in the Constance Billard courtyard!

Season 2, Episode 7

When Zoya tells Monet that Camille de Haan invited her to a luncheon that she originally invited Monet to, there’s quite a bit of tension on the Met steps. But pressure makes diamonds, no? And this Monet look is definitely a gem! The key to her colorful outfit is that the yellow blazer is more of a subdued shade, so it doesn’t compete with the blue skirt, while a rainbow ribbon tie brings both colors together.
