You might want to ‘Sit Down’ for this one bestie, because Doyoung is going to knock you off your feet. ‘Sit Down’ isn’t quite like the other songs on this list, as it shows us his fierce and sensual singing. He had us all fooled! We knew he was talented in slower songs, but this one is the icing on the cake. It shows the versatility of Doyoung’s singing. He can do it all!
‘Gold Dust’ – NCT 127
NCT 127 knew what they were doing when they decided on Doyoung starting this song. Each time we listen to Doyoung’s part in ‘Gold Dust,’ it feels like we’re floating. The song’s live performance sounds just like the recorded version, and Doyoung’s soft vocals snatched our hearts. Ballads are what he does best! If you couldn’t get enough of him in ‘Gold Dust,’ the whole 2 Baddies album has more of Doyoung’s golden voice.
‘A Little More’ – Doyoung
Doyoung always shines in his group songs, but soloist Doyoung is something we all need in our lives. He perfectly conveys the emotions of a breakup in this K-drama OST, and this song shows us the beauty of his voice. You just can’t deny it. Doyoung is going to devour any ballad song he sings. We don’t call him the ballad king for nothing!
‘Yestoday’ – NCT U
Something about early NCT Doyoung just hits differently for us. ‘Yestoday’ has some of our favorite Doyoung vocals and, dare we say, his best vocals! He gets the chorus all to himself and shows off his soothing singing. He owns this song, and it just wouldn’t hit the same if they didn’t include him to go with it.
‘Back 2 U’ – NCT 127
Limitless era Doyoung has us by the neck, and we’ll never forget him. Not only is his part at 3:24 the most replayed, his insane vocals there, were reason enough to make this list. He stands out so much in this song and shows how effortlessly he can sing. His vocals are almost magical, and imagine our excitement when NCT 127 performed this at their The Link tour. Hearing his memorable parts in this song is definitely on our 2023 bucket list!
