There’s nothing like an intimate show with your favorite artist, and we experienced that with one of our faves last week. Greyson Chance’s first show back in Boston since 2019 was definitely a special one and everyone in the room knew it. Whether you were a fan from all the way back in 2010, or just got hooked with his latest album, Palladium, it felt like every word he was saying was being said to you directly!
“Anything you’re worried about beyond those doors doesn’t exist in here. Feel free to have your own revolution here tonight,” he said as he sat at his keyboard and shared with us the process of writing Palladium. The purpose of this album was to create a revolution for himself, and that’s exactly what he did.
Greyson took time to explain the backstory of some of his songs, describing the story of Athena and how she was sent to the Trojans as a statue to keep safe, in order for their city to be protected. While writing his song, ‘Athena,’ he thought about what his version of that statue was. “What is my version of Athena – it’s this right here, this is what I’d like to protect. I’ll always protect you Boston, thank you.”
Greyson created such a safe space for every fan, encouraging everyone to always be themselves. If you have the chance to be in his presence, definitely do not pass it up. We’re so glad we caught Greyson at the Boston show! Get tickets to the remaining tour stops right here and listen to his new album in preparation.
