From ‘Jaded’ To Finding Peace, Miley Cyrus Is Here To Speak

Miley Cyrus is a favorite artist of ours around here at THP HQ. Just take one look and see that we’re obsessed with Endless Summer Vacation. Rightfully so, it is an amazing album. One of our favorite tracks off of Endless Summer Vacation has to be ‘Jaded,’ hands down. The power that her vocals bring to this powerhouse of a track and the emotion behind it make it a great one to sing along to (just ask our neighbors, we’ve definitely been singing along). The ‘Jaded’ music video dropped earlier this week, so let’s talk about it.

‘Jaded’ Music Video

There’s something powerful about a song like ‘Jaded’ having a music video like this. The track is a song about an old relationship that leaves you jaded and the feelings that follow the ending of that relationship. It’s emotional and retrospective and while we might expect the music video to reflect some of that sadness, that doesn’t seem to be the case here. The focus is on Miley and Miley alone, in beachy outdoor settings, looking as gorgeous as ever. While she’s singing about being jaded, her expressions and the fact that she seems to be thriving on her own make it feel like she’s looking back at that relationship and accepting the feelings. It might not have ended in the best way, but she’s making peace with it. We’re fans of the contrast and the ‘Jaded’ music video increased our love for the song tenfold for sure. Make sure to stream Endless Summer Vacation after you’ve watched the music video millions of times.

Miley Cyrus British Vogue Era?

Another cool project that’s dropped recently is Miley’s episode of Life in Looks with British Vogue. Starting from the Hannah Montana days in 2006 all the way up to the cover of the June 2023 edition of British Vogue, Miley dove into some of her most memorable looks over the years.

The 14:05 minute video really shows us a Miley Cyrus who seems comfortable in her own skin. Hearing her talk about her old looks, about the memories behind them and the thought processes that went into creating them, and about what they represented at different points in her life was very wholesome. It felt like watching her go through a timeline of finding her place in an industry that isn’t always so kind to those in it. We found ourselves joining in on her archival museum quality game, and it was such a fun watch because of her enthusiasm and excitement at all the outfits and stories behind them. We definitely recommend giving this a watch because it’s just an all-around good time.

In addition to that, she also did an episode of In The Bag, where she showed off her “glamorous” and “sophisticated” bag that represents her and what was inside it. It’s also a fun little personal video from Miley and a look into more of what makes her, her. It is also 100% worth the watch because we love seeing Miley like this and it’s just a lot of fun.

Oh and that cover shoot we mentioned? Miley looks absolutely STUNNING.

This is definitely one of the stand-out quotes from the interview, which you need to check out:
