Our Top 5 Favorites From Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation

We’re all going on an Endless Summer Vacation, and it’s all thanks to Miley Cyrus! Our queen’s album has finally arrived, and we have had this on repeat. It’s a no-skip sensation, an artistic addiction, and a crafted collection of pure perfection. We can already picture ourselves driving down the highway in the summer with these songs blasting through the open windows for everyone to hear.

Since its release, we have listened to Endless Summer Vacation from start to finish numerous times. How could we not? Every single song on this album is so beautiful, sensational, and easy listening. Miley Cyrus is a genius when it comes to lyricism, and her vocals are genuinely gorgeous in every way.

But which tracks are our favorites? That is a tricky question! It was really difficult to narrow down our top five because every song is a bop in its own right. As we said before, the album really is a no-skip sensation! But we did it. We managed to pick out our top five. Just.

5. ‘Thousand Miles’ (feat. Brandi Carlile)

Starting our top five countdown is ‘Thousand Miles,’ featuring the wondrous Brandi Carlile. It’s a gorgeous song, and we get the idea that it is centered around self-reflection. It’s as though Miley Cyrus is looking back on the actions of her younger self. “So, don’t ask me where I’ve been / I’m not always right, but still, I ain’t got time for what went wrong.” Through reflection, there’s the realization that moving forward is the best thing. There’s no need to dwell on the past. Just keep going. We love this song so much!

4. ‘You’

This is an intoxicating love song! The lyrics describe all the things she wants to do with her lover by her side: being kicked out of bars, crashing a wedding, picking a fight, and more. It’s beautifully chaotic, and despite the carnage described, it’s pretty romantic, but not in the typical sense. “I am not made for no horsey and carriage,” she states in the chorus. This love is no fairytale. We adore how she’s portrayed love in this as raw, real, chaotic, and magically messy. We are in awe of the direction Miley Cyrus took with this song.

3. ‘Wonder Woman’

A piano ballad that tugs on our heartstrings and leaves us feeling gloriously warmed. That’s exactly why this has made our top five! We love it when songs grab our hearts and take our emotions for a spin. ‘Wonder Woman’ sounds like a luscious lullaby, saying goodnight and willing us to close our eyes. The perfect end track to an album sectioned into A.M. and P.M., one that closes off the album gently. Miley shakes off her sequins and slows her club dancing for this one. It’s an honest, inspirational song, and we adore that it’s inspired by the closest women in her life.

2. ‘Flowers’

How could we not include this iconic bop? It would be a crime to not have this on our list. ‘Flowers’ solidifies our impression that this album is all about displaying Miley as an empowering woman in her prime. She’s independent and she can do everything on her own. She paints that realization so well with the lyrics. Another empowering bop by Miley Cyrus, and it’s easy to tell why this one broke records, ruled the charts, and peoples’ playlists.

1. ‘River’

‘River’ is an absolute banger. We can already picture this bop being played across bars, clubs, and the like. When we first heard it, we couldn’t help but think of Kylie Minogue in the ’90s and early 2000s. It feels like such a nod to that era of music. So nostalgic! The accompanying music video, all in black and white, is an addictive watch. It shows Miley in constant motion joined by flashing lights, glimmering, quick shots of bodies, and tantalizing poses. There’s an aura of maturity reflected in the video. Honestly, we are living for this entire video and song.
