THP’s Hot Alt Alert: New Music From Yellowcard, Magnolia Park, and More!

Last week’s Hot Alt Alert was insanely good with Heart Attack Man, Midtown, and more. But this week’s is just as sweet — Yellowcard, Magnolia Park, as well as some of our other pop punk and adjacent faves. So let’s get right into it!

Yellowcard — ‘Childhood Eyes’

After seven years, Yellowcard is back, and it’s evident in their music that they’re just as passionate as they have been since day one, 26 years ago. They just released the first single, which shares the same title, from their upcoming EP, Childhood Eyes, set to be released July 7th via Equal Vision Records.

‘Childhood Eyes’ has a more pop-rock vibe, but we love it! We definitely don’t expect them to have the same sound. But one thing is definitely the same: it’s still a banger. You can watch the music video here and stream the song below.

Ready To See Them Live?

They’re embarking on their 20th anniversary Ocean Avenue Tour next month! You can get tickets here. Also, here are our top 5 songs we can’t wait to hear from the album. They’ll also be performing at Four Chord Music Fest in August!

Magnolia Park & 408 — ‘Manic’

Mag Park has released so many songs recently, including: ‘Face It,’ and ‘Homicide.’ They just released another new song, and we can’t get enough. We love how it’s sonically catchy and upbeat, meanwhile contrasting with classic pop-punk vibe lyrics. You can check out the music video below.

Krooked Kings — ‘Sick Of Being Young’

We’ve talked about Krooked Kings before, and we’re about to again! They just dropped their music video for ‘Sick Of Being Young’ off of their latest album, All Out of Good Days. This song is so relatable, but the video is too. It being a high school setting truly captures the vibe. We also love how the imagery in this song is brought to life. You can watch the video below.

They’ll also be going on tour! Their headlining tour kicks off on August 31st in Salt Lake City, UT, and wraps up in Philadelphia, PA, on November 1st. You can see the full list of dates and get tickets here.

FRND CRCL — ‘F*ck California’

Last, but definitely not least, we have FRND CRCL. They released the first single, ‘Clinically Insane’ off of their upcoming album, Suburban Dictionary set to be released June 30th. You can pre-save the album here. This song has major Blink-182 vibes and is just an absolute, angst-filled banger /pos. Try not to headbang to this challenge. Impossible. You can stream the song below.

They recently just got off tour with Sundressed and Telltale, but they have a few coming up later this month. You can get tickets here.
