Bring Me The Horizon Begin Next Chapter With POST HUMAN: NeX GEn

Here at The Honey POP!, we never really moved on from our emo phase. It’s arguably a part of who we are and always will be, call it a part of our “Bee-NA.” So when we see bands like Bring Me The Horizon continue to evolve and conquer the world, it makes our hearts swell like no other! And they’re doing just that again with the announcement of their new album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn. The record will be out everywhere on September 15th! If you haven’t already lost your mind over the singles we’ve gotten from this upcoming release, now is the time! We’re already working on memorizing every word for their upcoming tours!

The announcement for the new album and tour went a bit differently than we’re used to seeing from Bring Me The Horizon. The band was pushing fans to find clues and solve riddles which inevitably led them to an empty building. This building, The Church of Genxsis, is home to multiple rituals conducted by the Genxsis Church. The Church was at Download Festival this weekend, and multiple fans got to immerse themselves in the world of Genxsis. The rituals included face branding, sermons, and even tarot card readings.

More Reasons To Rage

Diving into Bring Me The Horizon‘s live set, you see a leader of the Genxsis church on-screen engaging with fans. This “bot” started off by analyzing the crowd’s reactions by asking them to scream in excitement for the set. The bot then proceeded to inform fans that it has evolved past its initial intended purpose. After it begins to explain the goals of The Church of Genxsis, Bring Me The Horizon interrupts the stream to inform fans that Genxsis is not their friend. All of this is building to the plot of the concept within the POST HUMAN storyline.

The releases prior to the announcement of POST HUMAN: NeX GEn are noteworthy all on their own. ‘LosT’ and their newest release ‘AmEN!’ show a return to the punk/hardcore roots of BMTH. ‘AmEN!’ also features Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw. These followed the release of ‘DiE4u’ and ‘sTraNgeRs’ which racked up over 200 million streams on their own. The hype for this new release could not be bigger.
