It’s always a good day when Bring Me The Horizon drops a new single, and ‘DArkSide’ is more than that – it’s a masterpiece! The release helps tide fans over until the band’s next album, POST HUMAN: NeX GEn is in their hands! ‘DArkSide’ acts as a new installment in the POST HUMAN series, joining other singles like ‘AmEN!’ and ‘LosT.’ And trust us, we haven’t stopped losing our minds over the POST HUMAN series since it dropped either. So what better way to celebrate the release of ‘DArkSide’ than talking about some of our other favorite tracks in the POST HUMAN series? Let’s buzz right in!
‘AmEN! (Feat. Lil Uzi Vert, Daryl Palumbo, Glassjaw)’
Let’s take it back to the release right before this one and talk about the absolute banger that is ‘AmEN!’ This song acted as the true beginning of the new POST HUMAN chapter. Released the same weekend the band had their legendary Download Festival set, the track came with an entire interactive NeX GEn experience. Fans could visit the temples, join the church, and see what NeX GEn was working on at the festival grounds. Not to mention the Lil Uzi Vert and other features on this track truly make it next level!
‘Kingslayer (Feat. BABYMETAL)’
BABYMETAL and Bring Me The Horizon on the same track?! This was a collab made in metal heaven, as far as we’re concerned. Whether you become fully entranced by the insane guitars or drums in this track, the synths, or the vocals that truly make it next level – it’s one worth losing your mind about! Fans have held this track close to their hearts from the moment they got it, and that also includes us!
‘Teardrops’
Where do we even start with this track?! It has had our jaws on the floor since it was first released in 2020. With a sound reminiscent of Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park, but in the iconic BMTH fashion, it’s a top 10 for sure. We dreamt of screaming this one at the top of our lungs with the band as soon as we heard it, and we can confirm it’s as therapeutic as we thought it would be!
‘One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March Towards Your Death (Feat. Amy Lee)’
We don’t even know how to express the perfectly breathtaking magic that this song encompasses. Our jaws have been on the floor since we first heard it, and we don’t foresee us picking them up off the floor anytime soon. Amy Lee’s vocals are beyond mesmerizing, paired with the musical mastery that BMTH is known to serve in every track, and you have the absolute insane piece of art that is this track.
‘sTraNgeRs’
Bring Me The Horizon has a special way of making us feel incredibly seen through their music. ‘sTraNgeRs’ is one of those tracks where we listen to it and feel like they read our diaries. Sometimes, knowing what you’re doing, where you’re going, or who you really have in your life is a mystery even to us. A lot of the time, it feels like we’re just wandering through life trying to do our best to get to the end, wherever that may be. And Bring Me The Horizon? Yeah, they get that!
