Taylor Swift & Flavor Flav Are Our New Favorite Besties

One of the cutest things Swifties have ever done is start up a friendship bracelet exchange at Taylor Swift’s career-spanning Eras Tour, inspired by the “make the friendship bracelets” lyric in ‘You’re On Your Own Kid.’ But who says we’re the only ones who can get in on the fun? Whenever Taylor has special guests in her VIP tents – often people like Blake Lively or Lil Nas X – fans give them friendship bracelets to bring them right into the Swiftie experience. 

At the Detroit stop, though, one special guest really started to take things to the next level. Yes, Flavor Flav is a true Swiftie! He proudly flaunted an arm full of friendship bracelets throughout the evening, and even took to Twitter later on to see if he could get some bracelets made to trade at his next show. We’re so jealous of anyone who gets to swap with him.

And in another adorable spin, Flavor Flav’s son is named Karma, like one of our favorite Midnights songs! He challenged Twitter Swifties to figure out the connection he has to Taylor, which he told her at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards and she “seemed genuinely touched” to find out about. The first person to guess the connection got… you guessed it, some friendship bracelets!

Taylor and Flavor Flav becoming besties wasn’t on our 2023 bingo card, but it’s absolutely giving us life now. Not only would they be two of the coolest people to hang out with, but maybe we’ll be able to get a collab one day? Another ‘Karma’ remix? Flavor Flav hopping on a 1989 vault track? We’ll be daydreaming about it for the foreseeable future.
