Pen Pin is throwing open the door of The Honey POP hive and making a heartstopping entrance with ‘Fringe.’ Pen Pin is an indie-pop duo featuring Emily Moore, a live guitarist for Taylor Swift, and Jeni Magana, who has played alongside Mitski. They encompass sunny, summer days that hold gentle breezes filled with the smell of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass. They’re breezy and easy to listen to. With the last remaining days of summer upon us, we’re determined to lay in the field by our house at least once while listening to ‘Fringe.’
‘Fringe’ showcases the gentle, melodic nature of Moore and Magana’s voices together along a beat that reminds us eerily of the 2014 Tumblr– era. We love the way the instrumentals fade and grow, each taking turns to shine in their own right, but ultimately, they weave a beautiful background for the borderline angelic sound of the vocalists’ harmonies. The song is light-hearted, it makes us feel as if the sun is kissing our skin and we’re warm and fuzzy inside. It makes us ache for summer, in the best kind of way.
What did you think of Pen Pin’s ‘Fringe?’ Did you like it as much as we did? Did you like it even more? We want to hear everything buzzing around in our bees’ brains, so please tweet us and tell us everything! If that’s not your thing, you can reach out to us on Instagram and Facebook as well.
Indie pop your thing? We got you, honeybee.
