You guys already know we absolutely adore Demi Lovato, so it should be no surprise when we say we’re obsessed with this new rendition of another iconic song! ‘Let Me Down Easy’ was by far one of our favorite songs from the album Aurora and, honestly, the entire show! It’s safe to say that Demi’s vocals only made us love it more!
First, Let’s Talk About The Original!
If you haven’t seen Daisy Jones & The Six, you need to watch it immediately. The book and the limited series have changed our way of living, and this song played a big part. The lyrics, the vocals, and basically everything this album has to offer mesmerizes everyone here at The Honey POP.
The show follows Billy Dunne (played by Sam Claflin) and the story of his band, The Dunne Brothers. After an incident that alters Billy’s life forever, the band has to rebrand, and in walks Daisy Jones (played by Riley Keough). Each episode brings you deeper into their past while sharing their future selves in the form of an interview.
Demi, You’ve Slayed Time And Time Again!
We know this isn’t a shock to any of you, but Demi Lovato has been absolutely killing the game recently. ‘Let Me Down Easy’ was already such a monumental song, in our opinion, but Demi’s version has just blown us all away. We can’t say we’re surprised, though; Demi has had us hooked for over a decade.
After releasing this absolutely extraordinary rendition, Demi decided to keep the party going. The ‘Confident (Rock Version)’ was released on August 18th, giving us more reason to believe that August has been the month of Demi! We worship the grown you walk on.
This Reimagined Version Is Causing Some Problems!
The problem is: which version of ‘Let Me Down Easy’ should we listen to first!? Obviously, we’re going to listen to both back to back, but how do we know which to start with? Should we spin a wheel? Do we switch between which one we listen to first every time? Or should we play them at the exact same time to get that extra oomph?
Whatever order you listen to these two monumental editions of ‘Let Me Down Easy,’ as long as you’re listening to both, all is fine! Move out of the way, Fred and George, because these tracks are our new favorite twins! Whether it’s Daisy or Demi, ‘Let Me Down Easy’ is a hit in our books!
