We’re fully into the GOLDEN era, and we’re having the time of our lives! Our daily routine has included crossing out each day that passes in our calendar and creating countdowns to enjoy everything Jungkook has been preparing for this album. While we wait to listen to all the new tracks (we can’t believe we’re getting so many new songs!), we’re able to admire Jungkook’s creativity in his concept pics for this solo project. They’re so Jungkook!
There’s so much we have to discuss about these pics and their details, so we’ve decided to talk about our favorite bits from the three different GOLDEN concepts. We hope you’re ready to change your lock screen because Jungkook is here to completely stun us!
The Colors In The SHINE Concept
SHINE showcases Jungkook with the shiny lights and the unique hues of these concept photos. This portrait below is the most gorgeous picture we’ve ever seen in our entire lives. It deserves to be hung up in a museum! We hope we get to see how it was taken because we need to see how our main pop boy combined the blue and the orange-y tones. Plus, the sparkly necklace is the greatest addition ever! ✨
We also need to see the behind-the-scenes footage of this pic! Hear us out: How great would it be to see if that still photo that’s displayed on the monitors would have included different videos of Jungkook? He’s our favorite creative soul, so we know we would totally slay every detail of his album for us to enjoy. We can’t wait to see all the other photos of this concept in Jungkook’s GOLDEN photobook!
The Props In The SOLID Concept
The SOLID concept is all about showing us Jungkook’s hobbies (outside of sharing his time with ARMYs, of course!). These pics include objects related to some of Jungkook’s favorite pastimes, such as boxing! We know he loves to work out with his purple gloves. How iconic are they? Jungkook will always embrace borahae with everything that he does! 💜
This pic is definitely our Roman empire. Can you blame us, though? It’s perfect! The look, his full tattoo sleeve, and also, the motorcycle helmet. We need to talk about that helmet. We have so many theories about what it could be: Is it a reference to something that will be included in a music video in the future? Will it be included in other stage sets? We’re so excited to see what the additional pics from this concept will reveal!
The References In The SUBSTANCE Concept
The SUBSTANCE concept ties the previous two concepts together, as these pics include so many details that every ARMY can point out and say, “that’s so Jungkook-coded!” For example, in this portrait right here, we can see “XCVII,” which equals 97 in Roman numerals, showing us Jungkook’s birth year!
We also see golden elements all over this pic to match the album title and the shiny aesthetic!
Also, Jungkook is the coolest person ever, and this concept photo proves exactly that! We’re absolutely obsessed with the number of references he included in this pic: “0613” (BTS’ debut date), ARMY’s logo, “Winners Never Quit,” the cool hand graffiti from his tattoos, and other tiny details! His sleeve looks so gorgeous with all the colors he added to it, and painting this art around him in this pic was genius! We’re so proud of him for embracing his coolness and sharing his tattoos with us in such unique ways. 🥹
Seeing Jungkook’s concepts for his solo project has been such a gift, and we can’t wait to keep growing our excitement for GOLDEN as we continue going through the album’s promotional schedule!
