We’re ‘Loud’ About Our Love For The Home Team

The year is winding down and we’re starting to think about some of our favorite releases from 2023 and ‘Loud’ by The Home Team is absolutely going to be one of them. THT really said, “We’re going to bless everyone with this banger to close out 2023,” and we could not be more grateful. Trust us when we say you need to stream ‘Loud’ ASAP.

The Home Team is one of our favorite bands on the scene right now because of how unique their sound is. They’re not afraid to branch out and explore genres and ‘Loud’ is a great example of that. ‘Loud’ sounds like rock melodies with a lighter pop flair mixed in, but still sounds wholly like a THT track. All of their music makes you want to shake some a** and dance along, but this track definitely leans heavy on the “danceability” scale. And, of course, Brian Butcher’s vocals are fantastic as always. He’s one of our favorite voices right now and we always get excited for a new THT release or when he features on a track.

We just have to say how obsessed we are with the ‘Loud’ music video. We didn’t know The Home Team could move like that and we’re so here for it. Brian started dancing and our jaws dropped as we were grooving along. Petition for more bands to include some real choreo in their music videos from now on, please and thank you. They committed to the bit and it paid off. We love a good music video concept and ‘Loud’ delivered with this mv, giving old-school MTV vibes and a fun, lighthearted concept to match.

While this song is unapologetically sexual, there’s more to it than that, according to Brian:

Beyond the obviously sexual subject matter of the song, Loud is about finding your confidence in giving 110% to things that may be outside of your immediate comfort zone

So does that mean this song counts as a double entendre? We think so and we love that. The Home Team absolutely knocked it out of the park with ‘Loud’ and while we might be too late for it to make 2023 Spotify Wrapped, we wouldn’t be surprised seeing it at the top of our playlists going into 2024.
