It’s not a secret she’s lived in our minds rent-free all year, we definitely ‘Talk Too Much’ when it comes to how much we love her! But it’s not just us, it’s the entire world. Reneé’s name was everywhere this year and honestly, as it should be! Let’s take a minute to look back at all the slays Reneé has had this year, shall we?
Snow Angel
We know that you’re already aware of how insanely iconic and powerful Reneé’s debut album is. But the release of Snow Angel truly marked the moment she started to step into her deserved pop stardom. The album was the biggest debut solo album from a female artist this year. And it helped Reneé spread her talent to the world as she deserves! Whether you’re listening to reflect, feel, and heal – or to simply vibe with Ms. Rapp herself, this record has your back every time.
2023 MTV Video Music Awards
Reneé performed in so many places this year, but one big one for us was her VMA’s performance. It’s no secret that performing at the MTV VMA’s is a right of passage for up-and-coming new artists. Not to mention that she was also nominated for Best New Artist and Push Performance of the Year! Add her two iconic performances to the night, and it’s a night of pure Reneé Rapp perfection.
Snow Hard Feelings Tour
What’s the biggest debut solo album without an equally insane tour to match it? Not something that Reneé would be spending her time on, let’s be real. Reneé doesn’t do things halfway, and it’s one of the many reasons why we’re obsessed with her. The nearly sold-out tour crossed North America this Fall and left us with countless memories to fixate on for the rest of 2023.
DSCVR Artist Of The Year 2023
Back in April of this year, Reneé was announced as VEVO’s DSCVR artist of the month. This came before the release of Snow Angel, still hot off the trails of Everything To Everyone (Deluxe). To think that she claimed their slot of DSCVR Artist Of The Year with all that she did the rest of 2023 doesn’t surprise us either though. We even got exclusive performances of ‘Tummy Hurts’ and ‘Snow Angel’ in honor of her receiving this award. And we love an award that gives us something more to love while acknowledging the hard work of our faves!
Total World Domination
There wasn’t a single month this year where Reneé’s name wasn’t making headlines for something breathtaking that she was doing. Reneé went on countless talk shows, performed multiple times on live television, released a top-selling album, completed a nearly sold-out tour, served countless looks and TikTok slays, and so much more. The content, the memes, the laughs…she was giving us everything we could ever ask for in 2023! This is why we know 2024 is going to be an out-of-this-world year for her – and we can’t wait!
