Galantis has returned with their first song since last year, and to celebrate, here are five songs that we think your playlist needs. As of writing this, they have 13.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, and it is not hard to see why; their discography is vast and diverse, featuring collaborations with artists of different genres.
‘One, Two & 3’
The newest song by Galantis is dedicated to the fans and their unwavering support over the past ten years. It gives us disco and pool party vibes, and we can see this song being enjoyed both poolside in a cabana or at a festival.
‘I Want You’
Last year, we featured ‘I Want You,’ an Icona Pop song that Galantis was featured on, which you can read about here. This track is upbeat and is sure to please all listeners. We wonder how many Icona Pop fans learned about Galantis for the first time through this song, and we hope it encouraged them to dive deeper and fall in love just as much as we did.
‘Heartbreak Anthem’ (With David Guetta and Little Mix)
This song, featuring fellow EDM artist David Guetta and powerhouse girl group Little Mix, is sure to be a track that helps people get over a relationship, through a little partying, that is. David Guetta’s music, much like Galantis’, makes people want to dance. That is us. We are ‘people’. Little Mix needs no introduction, and we at THP especially love them. In case you need reasons to stan them, we got you covered with this piece. Did we mention that this song is gold-certified and spent 10 weeks on the Billboard Global 200? and 13 consecutive weeks on the top 10 UK Official Chart? Do you all smell that? We think it smells like a whole lot of success.
‘BANG BANG! (My Neurodivergent Anthem)’
This song, even though it is in the upbeat, danceable style of Galantis, is the artists’s way of expressing their feelings about their ADHD diagnosis. The track features lyrics like “You know sometimes my mind can run faster than a bullet from a gun / My heart is like a trigger in my chest.”
‘Runaway (U & I)’
This 2015 track still holds up today and feels like it just came out. This song brings back memories of 2015, and quite frankly, we would like to go back. The power of music to evoke memories and bring you right back to a place is incredible. This song has earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance Recording, which only sounds right.
