Y’all know we would never miss a Waterparks tour and we definitely couldn’t miss their only tour in 2024! We got the chance to see Waterparks, Pollyanna, and Loveless at the sold-out hometown show in Houston and that show did not disappoint. We might have gotten the Parxie flu, but we will never forget the feeling of seeing our favorite bands play a sold-out crowd on the House of Blues mainstage.

Pollyanna

First on the lineup, was the incredible Pollyanna. Hailing from New Jersey, this band really set the tone for the rest of the night. We loved getting to see them perform their songs and hearing their cover of ‘Judas’ by Lady Gaga. We didn’t know we needed a more rockier, grungier ‘Judas,’ but now we know it was missing in our life. We will definitely be keeping an eye out for future Pollyanna tour dates and hopefully we will see y’all at one of their headline shows!

Loveless

The second band of the night was the iconic, Loveless. Loveless is the brainchild of Julian Comeau and Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail and they are accompanied by Stephen Haaker on drums during their live shows. After following Loveless on TikTok and Instagram for months and months, we knew we could not miss their set. When Waterparks announced they would be opening for part of the Sneaking Out of Heaven Tour, we screamed and knew this was a match made in heaven.

Although Julian was feeling a bit ill in Houston, he did not let that stop him from putting on the most incredible performance for the sold-out crowd. If he is that good when he’s sick, we can not imagine how much better he would be if he was feeling his best. Cause giving 110% when sick is no easy feat! Make sure y’all keep an eye on future tour dates/festival performances for Loveless. Y’all will not regret seeing them live and in person.

Waterparks

And now the reason we were all here: Waterparks! Getting to see this band grow from the tiniest of rooms at Warehouse Live to performing at festivals to selling out the House of Blues main stage in Houston has been such an honor. This is god’s favorite boy band for a reason.

With a Waterparks show, you know that you are going to be getting 110% from them and this night was no different. Not only did Awsten, Geoff, and Otto put on one of their best performances (that we have personally witnessed), but their visuals for this tour put the rest to shame. We had the absolute best time and we loved getting to witness the crowd so pumped up and excited for them to play this show.

Now even though they told us this was their only tour for 2024 and we are super sad about it, we are excited that Waterparks will be taking a break to recharge, play a few festival shows, and start the writing process for the new album. They deserve this break and we know it will allow them to come back to us in 2025 or 2026 and be ready to take on the world.
