Before we all get our green slips, even other singers have an inner BRAT alter-ego. Who would think? Platinum-blonde fringe-slicked Robyn and tattoo-bearing Yung Lean roughened under his bucket hat, are the two who particularly have membership cards in their pockets. Charli XCX rang up the Swedish singers—the opening Twinkle Town production is really Europe’s telephone dial tone, right? Yes, answering our question through a “Pick it up, darling, London calling!”—for ‘The 360 remix with robyn and yung lean.’ Charli’s discography is pretty self-explanatory. Don’t throw us an eye-roll! We’re talking about the Vroom Vroom star here. She copied and pasted a sports car onto the cover art for those who are more visual than auditory.
This remix is rated five Paris Hilton’s “That’s Hot!” and that rating guide fits in seamlessly for a song about knowing how cool we are, blasting our self-concepts through the roof! It’s more so when we pair it with the music video for Charli XCX’s original ‘360’ rendition. The video came out three weeks ago and calls for a glitzy round-table discussion between internet influencers from all corners of the World Wide Web. Maybe Paris isn’t one (she started more in the stone ages of early 2000s reality TV), but we go from Chloë Sevigny to YouTuber Emma Chamberlain, and all fashionable fits in between in four and a half minutes.
Build-An-It-Girl
The music video even poses a question, if you will, giving them all a bit of homework! Who’s the new Internet It girl? This is a fascinating question, really. Stay with us. Through it, and even the track itself, Charli XCX is almost conveying the contrast to the lyrics. If our attention span lasts about two seconds and these girls are recycled out by the minute, what happens to their self-esteem once the inevitable occurs? And they leave that illustrious cool club? Well, the next girl, one of which we’re curating from songs by the ‘360’ singer, will soon find out.
Stand Out Glam
We mainly want to return to ‘1999’ because of the multitude of varying hairstyles from iconic moments in pop culture history! There’s Titanic’s Rose DeWitt Bukater’s wind-blowing ginger curls in a shaken-out plait, American Beauty’s platinum blowout stark against infinite roses, and even Rose McGowan’s red carpet flashback. Ever wished there was a life cheat code to have a Sims custom content hairstyle magically brushed out into your hair? Then it’s got that, too. But our influencer is stealing the fringed-bob with a red ombre tinge at the ends. It’s giving chic and sass!
On Fleek Persona
Charli sang, “I was busy thinkin’ ’bout boys,” and then our D-I-Y influencer decided to make it her entire personality! We can’t blame her. The music video had the A to Z of poster crushes, from Joe Jonas diving into syrup-drizzled pancakes for the J’s and Vance Joy completing our hot boy list because it’s now the finale of the 22-letter alphabet. This It girl is obsessed with boys, not just the online type (because how else is she supposed to slide into their DMs?), but the catchy song! Truly, that gamer ringtone sound Charli used to tick off another boy like she’s collecting Pokémon will never leave our heads!

Y2K Revivalist
Charli’s music video wardrobe has so many slayable pieces that it was hard to settle on just one, so we didn’t! Plus, our influencer would never outfit repeat. One solves that by filling up an online cart after deciding there’s nothing to wear. (Note: there is always something. We just can’t tell from the mountain of clothes lying on the floor!) So the first look is in Charli’s ‘Every Rule,’ a baggy, white chiffon blouse with feathered trim sleeves. The second is the entire ‘Doing It’ lookbook featuring Rita Ora! She carries on the fur theme with a purple coat. Then there are also cheeta print cowboy hats, lace-up leather crop tops, and even bejeweled two-tone pink gloves. Everything an influencer needs to cause a viral stir, followers wishing the pieces had clickable links if they aren’t able to track them down on a “___’s closet” themselves.
Finsta Fanatic
We’ve already tossed over the driver’s keys with a Vroom Vroom reference, but Charli XCX hits the pedal to the metal for car references. Do we need to hint that one should put their seatbelt on? Just put ‘Speed Drive’ on using the AUX chord. Would you be in a ‘Porsche’ or a ‘White Mercedes?’ We have no clue because our influencer’s garage parks both. Her social media niche would be hanging out at NASCAR races and slowed-down shots of her shaking out her hair from a pink helmet.
How many followers do you think our Build-An-It-Girl inspired from our already verified-crown Influencer (check her social media links below) Charli XCX’s songs has? Perhaps a whopping 3.6 million birds, identical to hers? What an impressive number! It’s growing by the minute, too, thanks to you hitting that notification button. Spare a ring on ours, @thehoneypop, will you? Perhaps it’s there where you can place a guessing number.
Besides having meetings with internet influencers and penning lyrics about one of them in particular (Julia Fox smizes for the camera), Charli has been sneaking new songs from BRAT into her setlists. She performed track seven, ‘Everything is romantic,’ at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain. The album in full comes out this Friday, on the 7th, the same day she has a gig in London. And before we talk about how much of a party it’ll be, maybe we should just claim the number seven has her lucky one? We can’t wait to be bratty with her and let the iconic slime green tour bus roll through our cities.
