As soon as she released ‘POP,’ we were begging for more NAYEON, and now we have ‘ABCD,’ as well as the new album NA! We should all consider ourselves lucky.
NA
As we mentioned, NA was released a couple of days ago, and we love it as much as we did when we first heard it. It has seven tracks in total: our leading track, ‘ABCD,’ our three collabs ‘Heaven (Feat. Sam Kim),’ ‘Magic (Feat. JULIE of KISS OF LIFE),’ ‘HalliGalli (Prod. by LEE CHANHYUK of AMKU),’ as well as ‘Butterflies,’ ‘Something’ and ‘Count It.’ We already know which ones are our favorite, but we’ll tell you about them in a bit; we want to shine some more light on the album as a whole.
So the teasers that were posted on socials honestly got us all hyped, from the sneak peeks of the dancing to the songs to the visuals. Nayeon has a pop-up store, and we are loving all the coquette-esque merch that is set to release; we are honestly hoping to get our hands on the cute bunny t-shirt. We also have some really good producers like Pdogg; if you know him, you know he is a very thorough producer, which is why the songs he’s on are always so good! And speaking of good songs, let’s start talking about some of our fave songs from NA.
‘Butterflies’
Opening our faves is ‘Butterflies,’ we honestly think this song shows off the vocals Nayeon is known for; like when we hear this song, we know it’s hers. Our favorite part from this track has to be, “Boy, I think I love you more than a mouse loves cheddar.” We really just love the comparison. It made us giggle.
‘Magic (Feat. JULIE of KISS OF LIFE)’
We always love it when the girlies collab, and we are honestly really loving ‘Magic’ with JULIE from KISS OF LIFE. Both girls are super-talented, and together, they make this amazing track. Their vocals just fit so well together and combine that with the backtrack, and we’re in awe.
‘ABCD’
So ‘ABCD’ is our lovely leading track; there is literally so much to love about this track. You know how we said that ‘Butterflies’ shows off Nayeon’s vocals? Well, we just love the high notes she hits so effortlessly in this. You can hear the confidence as she sings/performs it. It’s giving off old Beyonce, especially the choreo for the track. We all know how great of a dancer Nayeon is, and can be, and the choreography for this track just shows off those talents. Speaking of the choreo, we don’t want you to walk away without talking about TWICE’s reaction to ‘ABCD’, especially to that move. We honestly had the exact same reaction.
