We have been watching his career blossom from the beginning and gotten to see him really come into his own as an artist, which has never been on clearer display than here on The Golden Years! This record is Joshua’s debut record with his storytelling is on full display and his vocals sound as clean as ever. Truly, it’s a home run!

The Golden Years
While listening to The Golden Years through for the first time, we were moved to tears by the honesty displayed and by the strings connecting each song. The fact that The Golden Years is Joshua’s debut album is just mind-blowing. It’s rare to see someone who’s come into their sound as much as Joshua has, and even more rare how clearly we can see and hear it from these tracks. The album comes in at eleven songs, which is such a perfect number for an album that introduces who you are as an artist.
Picking just one favorite feels impossible, but ‘Cherry Blossom’ and ‘The Golden Years’ are certainty in the top! With ‘Cherry Blossom,’ we have found ourselves going back multiple times to replay outside of full album listen-throughs (which have been happening consistently). We aren’t playing when it comes to Joshua Bassett.
