A little less than two months until the weekend all of us emos have been waiting for: When We Were Young Fest! But the fest is only half the fun. If you aren’t going to a sideshow, you’re missing out. We’re particularly stoked about the 3rd annual When We Were Young Fest Sideshow Charity Concert & Bowling Tournament! We had a blast at last year’s Strange 80s sideshow where Sum 41 headlined. We’re so stoked because this year’s benefit concert by Charity Bomb and Unite The United Foundation features performances from Madina Lake, BOYS LIKE GIRLS, and Simple Plan!

We’re so excited that Madina Lake is on the lineup! It’s been a minute since we’ve listened to them, but believe us when we say we’re making up for lost time. If Madina Lake was on the fest lineup, do you think they’d play From Them, Through Us, To You or Attics To Eden in full? Since that doesn’t apply, we’ll more than likely to get to hear songs from all of their albums, which is a win for us.

BOYS LIKE GIRLS
Being longtime fans of BOYS LIKE GIRLS, this means everything to us. They kicked off the summer portion of the Lost In Wonderland tour and it was fire! We know that no matter what the setlist is it’ll be a fantastic time. Now for the real question: If they were playing WWWYF, would they be playing Boys Like Girls or Love Drunk in full? We’ll never know, but we won’t complain too much, considering the possibilities for the sideshow setlist are endless.

Simple Plan
Words can’t even begin to describe how excited we are for Simple Plan to headline this sideshow. Being one of the most iconic bands in the scene, it just feels right. Their songs have stood the test of time, whether you first listened to them as they were released or if you listened to them in your own teen years. We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the weekend!
